Jim881
Hi all, Received a new ac condenser yesterday and found some of the fins damaged. Spoke to the company I got it from and have said I can get a new one or they will give me some money back if I keep this. What would you do? Cheers Jim Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

RUToyota
Unless it's needed immediately, Jim, then I'd reject it and have a new one that isn't "damaged"...it would always irritate me. Neil
Jim881
I know a few damaged fins won't have a effect on it really but I think it will annoy me knowing it is there. I have asked the to replace it. Cheers guys. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Old Red Celica
It won't affect performance, unless you are going to make a big show of it, it's visual apperance is not important.
J03
That's nowt mate, get it fitted
Cleario
You'll probably knock it and push a few more fins fitting it. Pop it in and forget about it.
ams
A lot of new rads are like this - 1000 miles on the road and it will be a lot worse - Id just fit it
alex282
The fins bend so easy even with just picking it up with your hands. It's nothing to be worried about plus no one will see them. They are basically just sheets of metal that touch the pipes to increase the surface area for better heat transfer

RUToyota
Wasn't suggesting it wouldn't be ok...it would just irritate me that it wasn't precisely what I'd purchased. I would certainly have fitted it IF I needed to do so straight away....but, otherwise, as a matter of principle, I would have rejected it. That's just me.. Neil

RUToyota
OK...I've got some "earmarked" for my 140....£56 for mine IIRC (140)....I'd certainly be going down that route if I was already doing a rad change etc.. Neil
Kev 16v
Neil..that is £56, not £5.60!!!! You could buy a new tyre for that
