  1. Today
  2. i really need to get around to doing my lights. in terms of your issue it could be anything. my suggestion is to put a code reader on and check to see what codes there are.
  3. Yesterday
  4. Yes Bugatti owners club I met a few and a few great examples.
  5. That looks a very neat way of sorting them. Now you are on again, take a look at the Meetings section and see if there are any meets you'd like to come to? If I remember correctly, you came to a meet at Prescott near Cheltenham back in 2015 or '16 ?
  6. Hi all hope you are all well. I've not posted for a while. I don't drive so much since COVID as WFH but new relationship recently so every 2 weeks a 60 mile round trip. Today driving sedately I noticed slight play in the brake pedal that went as soon as it came. Then about a minute later and TRC and VSC light up......the lights stayed on for about 3 mins then turned off. I was driving the whole time. Is it anything to worry about/ what should I get checked ECU/ sensors etc? Side note : I usually 2000 + 3000 grit my lights every few years. Did them recently with cerakote headlight restorer and they look amazing. Previously with meguiars which lasted few years. Will let you know how I get on with cerakote.
  7. Good to hear from you again! The trick these days is to get in and out of the car slowly . You can still attend shows with a non-Celica you know? For instance, of the 24 cars attending Prescott later in May for a non-competitive Hill climb day, 9 or 10 are non-Celicas!!! They all love us so much..... Sherv is coming from Kent in his Honda, and we have a Rav4 coming from the Isle of Wight - so no excuse to miss out! I'm sure I can still get a ticket for you
  8. Last week
  9. Hello you bunch of Celica loving animals. It's 4 years now since I sold on my Gen 7 but I still miss it (and you lot). I have many fond memories of banter and advice in here. It's good to see so many of of the 'old timers' still around with a few exceptions even the Sherv is still active .... but he'll always be here I reckon. I now run a 2055 3 door Rav4 diesel and love it, it's a nippy little thing and fun to drive, I have back probs now and would love to slip into another Gen 7 but I'd never get out of one nowadays. I'm pushing 70 now but still young at heart. Take care all and enjoy your cars.
  10. Hi iv always used 10/40 Mobile one oil in my st185 gt4 but thinking of going for Fuchs 10/50 any one use this stuff and worth it? Thanks
  11. Been accessible for years, One of the first things I do when looking for a car is get the reg. No. then check on DVLA website. Very annoying when people hide the reg No. from vehicle adverts. If there is nothing to hide, why hide it. Also saves on a wasted journey if travelling to view a car
  12. They've been accessible on line for years with the MOT station just printing on plain paper. The only change is the MOT station will stop printing them for you.

  14. That's what I mean - you didn't like me looking under the bonnet before . But you now have something that's all bright and twinkly!!
  15. MOT time , another pass , no advisories Not bad for a 47 year old car !
  16. Me? Polish under the bonnet? You've gotta be kidding
  17. Earlier
  18. That is a bargain! Did they clean up the outer surface and polish it? So does this mean Merion that you are going to polish everything under your bonnet now?
  19. E10 is going nowhere near my Celica, Shell V Power all the way . Alternator is back all shiny and gorgeous. Just got to get it back on now
  20. With e5 and e10, id try leaving as little as possible in the tank if its parked up for a while. Ive had loads of cars that have been parked for ages and the fuels come out clean and they have started after 3 or more years of being parked, with the ethanol content, it does turn to sludge a lot more, Other thing I find on cars that have been parked a while is that its worth taking the plugs out and giving them a clean and also take off the distributor cap and take off the build up inside on the tips
  21. I forgot to update you. Running nicely and got her over for a fresh MOT. She passed and then the alternator expired, it's an ex alternator . Anyway, local company does alternator refurbishing so I took it up there after bleeding all over the engine bay taking the bugger off with skinned fingers. Needs a new regulator and rectifier and rewind. £75, what a bargain.
  22. Probably could do with the Italian tune-up before the MOT
  23. There's a reason cars are often refered to as she. I have the same nonsense from Ezzy, the others are fine.
  24. Are these cars engineered to drive us nuts????? Checked for fault codes but nothing there then gave the key another turn and she fired up instantly!!!!! Ran like a Swiss watch for 30mins, turned her off and tried again, instant start once more. Let's see what tomorrow brings
