  1. I’ve sent them an email, £30 a wheel same day! Ive got some standard celica wheels spare I could with using as mine are peeling bad and the st needs a refurb from curbing! For those prices it’s worth a day trip to Birmingham! I had my wedssports done in Cardiff, £760 for Straightening and refurb, came back like brand new but bloody expensive!
  2. Happy days! Well not really but At least you got it sorted!
  3. These, https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/summer-essentials/car-accessories/summer-essentials-deals/?553981060&0&cc5_1055&type=shopping&gclid=Cj0KCQjwt_nmBRD0ARIsAJYs6o2otwH0oiaB18dxxjhDiiKrnXXXq_0Vnyr2k6IoyBRo3gDkPOZ1XLwaAj5nEALw_wcB don’t buy anything else, I’ve got the claw, the straps, chains, fabric wrap all fit some kind of car, the pliers just fit everything. I’ve used mine for the last 6/7 years everyday and still rave about them to anybody who’s joined our workshop and doesn’t have a set.
  4. Mine did that years ago, I stopped on a hill and the handbrake light didn’t go out when I went to pull away. I found the caliper seal leaking on the rear.
  5. After market exhaust, it doesn’t have the larger silencer like the OEM back box.
  6. I have this problem when I hit the windscreen defrost in the st, 20 mins later the mpg’s down to 30mpg and I realise. I can’t have I’ve ever noticed it too much in the celica, I normally only use it for the first few second to demismt or cool the car then it’s windows open and sunroof open!
  7. As Ams said it’s better for the tester to advise these things. It’s down to his discretion to fail it as excessive or just advise the presenter that it’s louder than another vehicl. Personally I’d advise it just in case the dvsa check the car after and pull him up. I recently got caught out with an airfresnsher obstructing the drivers view of the road.
  8. £80 for OEM hids! £80 for a action bumper!? Behesus you need to get yourself on bargain hunt, Dickinson will love you!
  9. I’d buy a high mileage car, mine is just under 200k on a 04. Mechanically she’s mint but the mileage took it hit on the bodywork and glass. My front bumper and bonnet is full of stone chips, the screen is full of tiny chips and light scratches. My steering wheel has started to peel. im not prepared to put any money into my car, it’s been a great car for what it is, it’ll never be a show car again, I know I can jump in it and drive it, abuse it, leave it anywhere without worrying about it getting scratched or bumped. Fill it full of crap to take to the tip, throw my bike in the back without worringing about scratching anything. She stands me 5K for 9 years and 150k of motoring including buying and replacement parts. My celica ownership is coming to an end, I’ve outgrown the car I want something faster, newer and more comfortable, but I don’t think anything will be as good.
  10. I had it put on our black st before it was put on the road, it had a paint correction and coating applied and left in the workshop over night before I took home. It’s 2 years old now. I snow foam it and jet wash it off. I’d say 80% of the dirt just comes clean off. I’ve only washed and pat dried it since owning it and it looks mint. Ill defiantly be having it applied on what ever we get next when the fiesta goes back
  11. My wife sent me this yesterday as it happens. I pulled the release in the footwell one night and it fell off in the petrol station. She found it hilarious.
  12. I just put continental contact 5’s back on my original wheels, I went for 205/55/16 at £38 a tyre it worked out over £150 cheaper than 205/50. I’m surprised at the comfort that’s come with them.
  13. I have a wheel brace, 3/8th socket set, adjustable spanner and a double ended screw driver. Anything else I have a little orange card with me for that lol just take it back to work and I’ll worry about it another day.
  14. I’ve actually got a friends 2002 Ep3 for a week to sort some welding on the floor. Really enjoying it. However I’m not sure if it’s the wheel alignment or the eBay coil overs but the turn in is awful. It turns in and seems to dig in killing all momentum.
  15. Like you say is luck of the draw, I’ve got a fair few mates with honda’s I’ve always been working on them, being a tech myself it isn’t a problem really. My biggest problem is finding a standard one haha!
  16. As much as I’d love one, unfortunately not. The prices seem to be on the rise for them. My cars always been the second car in the house, we have a 2016 Fiesta ST that we keep mint. I just need a car to run around in, throw the dog in, go to the tip with, throw the mountain bike in ect... I’m looking for a EP3 premier. It would kill me to ruin an DC5.
  17. Yes vehicle electrics have become more complex but not a problem on this circuit. Before you go throwing parts at the rover have a quick measure of the drop on the power and ground cables. As Chris said you may have a connector between relay and the bulb, a relay contact with some kind of build up or an earth that’s corroded. My 7 is 14 years old, I’ll have a quick poke around see what’s occurring in the week.
  18. yeah why not, ideally not behind the showroom glass haha!
  19. I suppose your right. I wouldn’t class a boxster as a super car but a GT2/3 RS yes. Same as a ford focus clearly not but a ford GT defiantly so Yeah Lamborghini, Ferrari, mclaren, some Aston’s, Bugatti. I guess theres a couple of odd cars, high end sports cars good enough to be supercar. R8’s, AMG GTR’s, Carrera T’s, they’ll do. Find something fast, rare, expensive and mostly exotic
  20. I expected to get shown up by a GT4 after doing some duggets in a muddy field. Lets try your celica next to a super car
  21. 1V wouldn’t be an acceptable amount of voltdrop, that’ll give you a lack of performance in the bulb. You can can do a quick simple volt drop test in less than 30seconds on a dipped beam bulb. 4 measurements all taken with load on the circuit. How did you measure the circuit? A quick volt drop you need to put the dipped beam on and measure from the back of the consumer carefully. V1: Measure battery + to - V2: measure battery + to dipped beam + V3: measure dipped beam + to - V4: measure dipped beam - to - add V2, V3 and V4 together and you’ll end up with a number close to V1 if you have a good circuit. Diffcult to explain without doing it in front of you. Handy thing to know how to do.
