daveRC Posted 7 January Report Posted 7 January (edited) So with the new year upon us, what's everyone's plans for their Celica's in 2025? As I have my carlos sainz only a few month's, I plan to sort the few issues I've already encountered (new battery needed, washer motor not working, Right headlight motor not working and rebuild ECU) all in time for March when I hope to bring her to many Cars and Coffee's and some Rallying events! slybunda Posted 13 January Report Posted 13 January Gonna do some heavy underbody protection. Gonna get an air compressor and cavity wax kit and schutz gun and tidy everything up. Will go with an oil coating this time for most of the underbody
benjia Posted 14 January Report Posted 14 January For me it's going to be getting rid of the coilovers and putting the car back on stock suspension, the ride quality has been totally ruined. I also need to replace the corroded filler neck! 1
Bumblebee Posted 14 January Report Posted 14 January After melting a piston on the dyno last year I'm in the middle of an engine rebuild. Just need some cash for the pistons and another dyno session, new tuner this time 1

Nicola67 Posted 30 January Report Posted 30 January Fitting and painting a set of spats I have trying to find for 7 years
daveRC Posted 10 June Author Report Posted 10 June So with 6months of 2025 under our belts, I thought it was time to bump this thread. Unfortunately, my plans to get the CS out to events by March are long gone out the window. In fact, I've rarely driven it all 😞 I've sorted some minor electrical issues and had the ECU rebuilt but I've encountered some major leaks along the way (Crank shaft seal, rocker cover gasket, Cam shaft Seal) I've also done new timing belt and water pump plus Aux drive belt. My latest leak is from the Turbo, which unfortunately has been confirmed to be goosed, so hopefully I can get that rebuilt and back in ASAP.
dannybgoode Posted Wednesday at 06:02 Report Posted Wednesday at 06:02 As the car is new to me and the boy we're not going to do a great deal to it over the summer. Get the paint as good as we can, wrap the spoiler and scoop. He's 12 and brought up on GTA and Forza etc so he wants to fit under-glow - not my thing but it's his car! And then just enjoy the car. Take it to a few shows and drives at the weekends and stuff. Then over winter we'll take the bonnet off and respray it, put some form of anti-corrosion treatment on the underside, the rear discs and pads may well need doing but then etc 1

Finding time to drive is hard and I have a couple of outstanding ones plus Ireland, maybe 2026 as life paperwork getting in the way my tail end 2025 is get a TRD front brace again and custom manifold and oh MOT Sept
