  1. not sure but those that got in on the group buy for the invidia n1 are laughing now, i should have got in on that action but was afraid it may be too loud. i prefer off the shelf systems like magnex (have one on the fiesta cost £280 from demontweeks in 2002 so lasted 19 years and still looks mint), milltek, etc. they are stainless steel and usually good on price. powerflow dealers usually sort out catbacks for 300 ish too. i like the sound of the original exhaust, its quiet when pootling around and even in lift you can hear the engine rather than the exhaust. when the time comes and i need a replacement i will get one that is a replication of the original one but in stainless. dont get me wrong im not knocking the quality of it, but for the cost i paid £280 inc vat + £15 fitting for my fiestas magnex catback system and its served me for 21 years and still going strong. i ask myself what more would a 800 quid exhaust have offered me over my 280 quid one? pics are from a wheel alignment few years back.
  2. Manifold back exhaust from mr t inc cat is 1200 from listers toyota. Could probably haggle them down a little too. Cant help but feel that you over paid for that exhaust in my own personal opinion. Not saying it's bad quality or anything like that just that me personally cannot justify buying a catback exhaust system that costs as much as the car does.
  3. Put that 90099-14120 part number into autodoc.co.uk and you get valeo branded orings for less than half the price. If your smart you can easily get branded quality parts for good prices.
  4. Usually battery lasts 10 years after that they fail and cost mega money to replace. Fine if you sell up before then.
  5. Hope new celica is an all out effort by toyota and not a mashup like the subaru gt86 or the bmw supra.
  6. I have a blueprint belt on it at the moment. Will hunt around for offers. I think gates was on offer for around 14 quid
  7. Got what i believe is the alternator belt squeek, car made this squeek when i first got it and put a new belt on 8 years ago and it was quite since. Iv not done much mileage but read its mostly age that does them in. If its the belt which brand is best to go with? All are similar price for stuff like dayco, gates, blueprint, etc
  8. Looks nice but dont like battery long term reliability
  9. Companies renew trademark names all the time now. I think they need renewal every 10 years otherwise what happened with the captain marvel name between dc and marvel could happen again.
  10. Does the gen7 2zz run in closed loop when in lift?
  11. Another car i think wont age in looks is the civic which is one shape newer than the ep3. Fn1 i think cant remember. Looks like a futuristic thing. Looks like that dont age too bad. Boxy stuff looks old lol.
  12. odd i just tested it, its not a link its a pdf file thats uploaded to the forum and its allowed me to download it and then i open it in my pdf viewer
  13. attached is something thats gonna be handy for our cars. rusttest_noxudol_700_classic_monthly_uk.pdf
  14. was looking at the car today on the drive parked next to my mk3 fiesta. so my celica is the gen7 X-reg year 2000 prefacelift and it stuck me today that the car is 20 years old. but for some odd reason it just doesnt look like a 20 year old car but much younger. even inside it doesnt feel dated to me. now maybe thats because im comparing it to my 25 year old fiesta and my brothers 30 year old corrado and relatives older cars (bmw's etc) and most of all it drives far better than all 20 year old+ cars iv been in. anyone else get that feeling or is it just me?
  15. I got a custom setup but if your battery is good then even a 10w panel will be more than enough. I will get the link for you when i get onto the pc. Heres the link: https://thargo.com/product/bluefusion-mono-solar-panel-10w-20w-50w-100w/ 13 quid plus delivery. I use it in my fiesta which has got a sulphated battery due to mechanic hoarding the car for a month in winter without starting it. I checked 2 days ago and battery was at 12.9v. Panel sees direct sunlight for about 5 hours. Now depending on where you park and where the panel will face you can work out the panel size you need. This 10w one works good in winter. I added a reverse blocking diode to it and its good to go. Much better than the big amorphous panel i got from halfords which was physically larger and made less current.
  16. Not seen that happen to factory paint.
  17. From what i read on forums many of these people with the claims are in new Zealand.
