I re-wrapped my centre console last weekend & the heat has got to it & lifted the bloody thing. Not sure if its because it was cheap vinyl, the heat or a mixture of the two but either way its really f'in annoying. Odd small bubble here and there but nothing majorly worrying. Bubble isn't lifting they've been there over a year too haha. None of my vinyl is lifting and I have the whole centre console done, and air vents. What did you clean with before hand and did you get any fingerprints all over the stick side of the vinyl when you were doing it? If everything was clean it sounds like the wrap you have isn't much cop. I gave it a good wash in the bath before drying thoroughly then wiping down with alcohol wipes. I didnt get any finger prints on the glue either. Just crap glue on the vinyl i think ... That's because your wrap is le creme dela creme of wraps As a result of the heat wave we've had quite a few enquiries about fixing their wraps from other applicators. 9 out of 10 times it's due to error of application. Oops :rolleyes: Like i said, i'm going to try the cheap stuff again & if it doesnt set properly again then i'll have to dig a bit deeper into my pockets. I havnt used hexis before. I know everyone on here raves about them but i'v found KPMF & RiWrap to be pretty good ... and a load cheaper. Wrapped a range rover matt orange in KPMF & it looked great. The most important thing in the process is properly and evenly distributing a very precise amount of heat across the whole vinyl wrap while using laser heat guns to make sure you're doing the job right, so so many people don't do this.
