After some new alloys

Mine are 15”, use them for track wheels on my Civic, stupidly light even with tyres on.

I use Japan Racing JR7 for road, there lightweight as well.

Why are the tyres pointing the wrong direction of rotation?

Or my other option which I quite like is the same the same wheels bola csr but have different offsets for the front and rear.
Front - 17 5x100 8 ET 25
Rear - 17 5x100 8 ET 35

From the website I used it seems to give me a decent stance with the option to get rid of the spacers both front and rear681765a0b22e9a4db41348bd32553bd5.jpgcc0fa9069b80781f2d95e81f74227554.jpg

Thanks for the pictures pal.
I think I've found another option I like. They are 17 et 35 5 x100 but with 8I rather than 7.5. What do you think @Kev 16v ? Would I be good to run these? No spacers on the front and slightly wider at the rear if I put my 15mm on the back. 8ceec46e05213c36e1e2104fdf91a036.jpg3e5ddd2f6fcc98599f21ef8454041cf5.jpg

That would create two problems.

The first one is tyres. As you cannot buy 225/40/17, your choices would be 215/45/17, or 225/45/17.

215/45/17 would be stretched on 8J (others have done it, but I wouldn't), and 225/45/17, being two sizes up from OE, increases the rolling radius as to affect acceleration. You would probably notice the car doesn't handle as well either, with such wide tyres.

An even bigger issue is wheel arch clearance with your 17mm spacers. You would have to get your rear arches rolled.

If you can find a supplier who has stock of these Bola's in different Offsets, it is going to enable you to lose both pairs of spacers.

You are of course still going to have to compromise on tyres with the rims being 8J, as explained above.

Another thing to bear in mind, the wider the rim, the heavier the wheel, the less enjoyable the car is to drive.

Sorry if I sound negative, but as you can see, there are good reasons for me suggesting no wider than 7.5J.

Thanks for your advice kev. It is appreciated. I've decided I'm DEFINITELY sticking with 7.5 et 35. In matt bronze. Pickings are slim unfortunately. Its a shame the oz ones are so expensive!!!

When you say 'light' how light exactly are these any stats?

All I know is most alloys I've lifted are far from light, I'm trying to perceive the effect/difference on unsprung weight.

These wheels are 6.2kg in this size

Because I picked up a wheel at random just to check caliper clearance, that wheel went on the other side when I put them on at the track,I always double check lol

Maybe late to this discussion but if you don’t mind a narrow spacer I’ve got Japan Racing 17x8 on mine with I think ET33 and 10mm spacers all round.  225 45 tyres and no stretch

Thanks Lucy. After careful consideration I have decided to stick with orvs suggestion of 7.5s.
Reference this I have emailed team dynamics and also in conversation with rimstyle to get a decent deal on the oz set as 1k is slot of money.
If anyone finds some 7.5 et 35 17 inch in bronze please let me know. Thought i found some sparco ones but they are long gone.

I’ve ran multiple sets of wheels on my celica over the years both 17” and 18” for me personally my wedssports 17x8 et34 with a 215 just worked right.
Were you running spacers with them?

I’m not. When the wheels came from japan they came with 225/45/17’s so they filled the arches a little more. Then I dropped to 215. I was never really concerned with the ‘stance’ aspect more what felt the best on the road.

they never looked ‘sunk’ in the arches though in my opinion.

They look nice mate. The problem I have is I am used to my stance with running spacers front and back. Best way for me to achive the same look is with the wheels I have included pics of. Unless I roll my arches which honestly I cant be arsed with.
Just wondered if anyone can remember the maximum spacer size you can go with without extending the bolts or going hubcentric.

Cheers mate. I think I've gone of the oz ones. Too many spokes. Jr5 or a 5 spoke wheel on not sure. Thought i would experiment with the style first before deciding on a colour.
