cpfc1234 Posted 12 August 2019 Report Posted 12 August 2019 (edited) Hi all, I am putting the engine bay back together after a recent clutch change and I'm not sure (partly due to previous owners modifications) where certian pipes and connections need to go! Could anyone help with the following: Pic 4: What does this attach to? Pic 3: 2 rubbers attached to distributor... seemingly not needed - nothing attaches? Pic 2: Is this where the lambda sensor connects? Pic 1: My sensor does not fit to clip in and has limited cable length Thanks in advance for any help, hoping to get her started again tomorrow! Edited as pics loaded in wrong order! Edited 12 August 2019 by cpfc1234
commandosqueak Posted 23 August 2019 Report Posted 23 August 2019 What car is it? What model and gen?
slybunda Posted 29 August 2019 Report Posted 29 August 2019 That first pic looks like a lambda sensor for exhaust.
99GT Posted 29 August 2019 Report Posted 29 August 2019 Pic number 4 the large pipe just goes onto the bottom of the intake rubber if I'm thinking right
Monkey Boy 1 Posted 29 August 2019 Report Posted 29 August 2019 2nd pic is the cable to the oil level sensor in the sump
Alistair_GT Posted 30 August 2019 Report Posted 30 August 2019 Pic 4: Bottom of the air intake hose (between throttle body and airbox) there is a metal hose connector. Pic 3: Vent/breathers..not attached to anything. Pic 2: Nope. That plug is for the aircon pump (not connected if car has no AC) Pic 1: Lambda sensor. The plug for it is high up at the back of the engine. Screw it into the hole in the exhaust downpipe, then look directly above. The plug should be attached to a small bracket (stops the cable dropping onto the hot exhaust)
