  1. The Calendar arrived this morning. Thanks guys
  2. Well these arrived today and the weather was ok, so decided to fit them today. The original tailgate struts have just started to fail after 15years, so not bad. All was going well until the spot weld on one of the plates holding the two nuts inside the body panel decided to snap off so the plate holding the two nuts fell down inside, behind the panel...........one hour later, job done.
  3. Thanks mate. Yeah splitting the tubing for the edge took a while to do but got there in the end
  4. Well I finally finished off the engine bay today, after leaving it standard this year. The oil catch can should have been finished a few weeks ago but the company who I ordered the silicone hose from, first sent me the wrong internal diameter, then the wrong length, then...........the wrong colour and wrong internal diameter and the wrong length I received what I wanted in the end because they had run out of wrong options to send me I cut away the black plastic to get access to the can and split some black tubing to finish off the edge. No it’s not turning into a build The rest is staying standard but I just wanted to tidy up the engine bay for show season next year Here are some before and after photos.
  5. This might be a stupid question but have you fitted drilled and grooved discs ? If so, that’s why. When I fitted them on my last car it was a constant problem. If not I would try different pads, ok we all get brake dust, especially on the front but it shouldn’t be as bad as that.
  6. Nick. Can you change that to parking next to a lamp post so we can all get on with the rest of our lives please
  7. Ok I’m not talking about the track here but dose he mean Redex ? I’ve been using that for years. In the past when I’ve used it for the first time on cars that I’ve just bought and replaced ignition parts at the same time, I’ve regained some of the BHP that had been previously lost with the age of the car. The BHP before and after on the dyno’s that I’ve seen in the past when I’ve done it has been so significant, that I’ve always recommend people doing that before they start modding.
  8. Just looked at your new profile mate. Well done in your new role
  9. I had the same trouble with the Halfords ones with dust for my Gen 7 I then bought, what I thought was a cheap one off eBay. Totally waterproof, inner fabric cover, ties at each wheel and a strap underneath the middle. Had it a year now and still ok at less than half the price of the Halford ones. If you want I can see if they are sill on there for you.
  10. Lean mean, micro machine. Looks fantastic mate My wife and I went down the coast on Sunday, only to find they had a Classic car show there. So we decided to join them and get free parking for the day
  11. Martin, that is stunning mate. I wasn’t expecting that. Re: Lexus We can’t have that driving around on the manor He was most probably just visiting someone and now he’s gutted because he’s seen a better car with the same wrap as his I know exactly how you feel. That’s the only reason why I have to keep mine under a car cover, the birds
  12. That looks really good but be careful. I did the same thing on a a Hyundai coupe but if there is a lot of rain or deep puddles do what I did and disconnect it from inside the engine bay just in case.
  13. Please don’t tell me mate that you took that photo at a car meet
  14. Your so right. Alas, long gone are the days when you would cram a V8 into your pride and joy
  15. Yet again, well done on your pay rise mate and I hope it all goes well with your house. With all the effort you have put in on your car this year, that’s a big decision to make
  16. Hi Tommy Yes mate, I think some of them are at Santa Pod this weekend.
  17. Certainly is a nice day Debbie I’ve just finished cleaning the car, as I have been working at a Showground this week. Some of them can be horrible places for your car with the dust and grit they get covered in
  18. Hi. Would it be possible to get some club flyers please because as well as the CCUK shows this year my car is booked to show at three other large general car shows.

If I had some flyers I would be able to hand them out to other owners if I saw any.

    Many thanks

    Ted.     AKA  Wolfie

  19. That gauge cluster looked good when I saw it at the show, even better now that you’ve fitted it
  20. If it’s not to late, I’ve got a box of black fabric paint you can have, 6 Jars unused. Send me a pm mate, if they’re any good to you.
  21. You know as well as I do, it doesn’t matter. It’s all about being there
