  1. One from this weekend’s outing to Watergate Bay Sprint, nr. Newquay Cornwall
  2. Personally I think this forum and advertising on here is antiquated…isn’t user friendly and it doesn’t have the exposure other platforms have and is very insular. Things have moved on….. with social media, Facebook, Instagram etc. and yes there’s pro’s and cons with everything but have moved on…. Celica Ireland (with 4.2k members) on Facebook is a good example with such an active content (across the Generations of Celica’s) with everything from events, meets, cars for sale, parts, news, photos in your face to catch your eye as you scroll through etc. etc. Not disjointed and hidden away by Generations in different sections which I for one rarely go into and I couldn’t tell you who has what car in the club, unless it’s “your generation” (as I have commented on before). Classifieds are virtually non existence and people then need to go elsewhere to find what they are looking for. Facebook is day to day in your face stuff, a who’s who of car “enthusiasts” with something to share, whist Instagram is very different again and aimed more at photos & videos than words but with following & followers, but another platform I’m also on with my cars, find george_anderson165 if you’re interested. I think the Celica Ireland (and others) are more motivational and interesting to look at, and less treacle to wade through. The Celica-Club UK Facebook page (related to this website with 1.9k followers) makes depressing reading with more content about website down time than anything of value recently. That’s certainly not going to attract people to it. And who were the web and social media will be in future but need to move with the times I think…. 3. I have the rear inner arch off a narrow body ST185 GT4 for that side if it works. It’s off the car I unpicked for panels.
  4. My shopping trolley today ( actually I just dropped in to swap my house deeds for a tankful of Shell super unleaded )
  5. Years ago my dad was on a trip to Sweden and was on a boat heading to Malmö and sat down for the journey in a random seat. He nodded and said hello to the guy across from him and they started chatting. Turns out he’s from Belfast, the other fella. So’s my dad. They chat on, one buys the other a pint. The guy asks my dad why he’s going to Malmö and he tells him. The guy says he’s going to a music festival somewhere. They keep chatting, about Belfast, people they know in common, the local characters and so on. A few more beers are exchanged (£4 a “pint” my dad told me) and they had a great chat. Totally oblivious my dad.... just two fellas from Belfast having a beer. Just as they were getting ready to disembark, the guy says you don’t recognise me do you ? No says my dad. Fella says I’m Van Morrison (the singer for you youngsters).....
  6. Thanks Paul, MR2.....that’s why I didn’t recognise it Thats a useful link too. Thanks
  7. Got this indicator lenses in some parts but don’t recognise it ? Freshly opened by me. What model is it for ? Thanks
  8. Whilst sat on the train in Japan, passing a large storage yard of cars, not sure where but somewhere south west of Tokyo.....I got thinking of importing a JDM to UK. Which Auction sites do people use ? Had a quick look and found JDM Auction Watch and Japan Car Direct plus various others......any suggestions or recommendations? Or experience of it ? Thanks Shipwrecked
  9. I must admit to a few in my younger years but not celica related I'm afraid. The pizza box, household polyfilla and 2 cans of touch up to rebuild a rear door the day before a big Ford show is my most memorable one.....no one noticed and the car even went to its grave with its very own slice of Domino's
  10. Welcome to Celica Club UK Shipwrecked :)
