  1. ^^ Yep, constant loop recording with camera's front, side and rear on the house and the camera in the main car runs 24/7.
  2. That is bad, and on a private drive too. So many scumbags out there, I'm sure they outnumber decent people now.
  3. Hmmmm, not good. I put an Exedy in mine. I had a little problem with clutch drag at first, but thankfully was an easy fix. Since fitting an Exedy, I've heard nothing but bad stories  Don't think they are as good as they used to be.
  4. There are many levels I would stoop to for a good cause, but talking with Mike Brewer is out of the question
  5. I hope there is still time for me to get a 165, daddy of them all. It was going to be my next project, but the Gen5 is a hard habit to break. I reckon all it will take is a car show like Wheeler Dealers, Car SOS etc to do a GT4, raise it's current profile, and the price will go up. They seem a forgotten performance car, all under valued considering their capability and motorsport history. I've talked to a few people since I had my GT4 and they have had no idea what it is. It's even been called a Honda I love the Celica, always have, and as much as the "beer money" price is good for the likes of us, it sort of gives the car a disposable element that's not good for it's survival.
  6. Very nice indeed. Well done Seen that one on ebay, the chap was/is selling a real nice GT also? See you in the 5 section
  7. How come twice in one year? Not a job to be doing bi-annually is it What clutch are you going for? ACT, Exedy etc....
  8. Won't do any harm to reuse or replace the cover bolts, especially if they are a reasonable cost. Again, I've only used threadlock in the past if instructed, but the last clutch change I did on the CS, no threadlock used.on the cover bolts. Never done a clutch on a Gen7, but if the manual says to use threadlock.......you know Just torque them up progressively to spec in the correct sequence.
  9. I replace the flywheel bolts without question. New OEM bolts usually come pre-coated with the correct type threadlock anyway, but if not, make sure you use the recommended type as instructed. I've always re-used the cover bolts unless it's stated in the manual that they are not a re-useable item. I have reused flywheel bolts in the past with no adverse effect, but only on old Fords
  10. Bit late to give any advice. Hope it's a good 'un Share some pics if you get it
  11. It's 100% the only reason I have the Celica. A late Sunday night blast has been a favourite since I started driving
  12. As much as I like the standard GT4 wheels, you can really feel them on there after running lightweight rims. Being Toyota wheels, are those 3-spoke light? If I had a 205, I would keep hold of them. I like them on there.
  13. 14- Igniter/ECU Possible circuit fault from igniter to ECU. May just be a poor connection. Unplug and push back in a few times on igniter and ECU connections. Possible faulty igniter module, but the car runs normally for a good while? Always worth removing the module and coil including the brackets, cleaning the mounting areas and refitting to ensure a good earth. I'm sure there will be other suggestions for you to check. Hope you sort it soon
  14. Intermittent faults are the best What fault codes were given? Changing the coil, distributor cap and rotor arm for those symptoms seems an act of desperation to me.
  15. I agree. Tyres/brakes and tip top fluids are key for sustained high speed motoring. Regular bonnet opening for visual checks on belts and everything else is another. Nitrogen filled tyres is sometimes recommended After that, it's always nice to have a good set of gauges to keep check on oil pressure/temp etc....personally I like to keep an eye on the oil temperature
  16. If you have somewhere to keep it/work on it, it would be a good project car. Good for keeping your hand in with welding, mechanical and painting. It will need everything replacing and cost a fair bit of coin in the process too. But it is what it is, an old Gen5 with that gawd awful blue interior I love these cars and would like to see all the remaining ones saved. If you take it on and rescue it. Well done that man!
  17. Happy 4 Anniversary thermoacc!

  18. Got one here if you are stuck, but not in Cardiff for a while If you fancy a run to Ebbw Vale, you are more than welcome
  19. No way for £150! I paid next to nothing for the one I got. Cracked like that one on the corner though
  20. 2003 model. If you can look past the ugly front end, it is a truly awsome car. (Still prefer the Gen2's look) It's good on fuel for what it is, but still has a massive drink problem. Makes the CS look like a Prius
  21. Massive Lexus fan here. Had a few now, starting with a 1990 LS400. You did the right thing on the IS200. Cant say I have ever liked them and as said, not all that quick. (Not a real Lexus anyway ) Current Lexus is a LS430......Different world
