  1. just us a breaker bar and give them a nip McGard have been great though , i dont have any spare wheel nuts so couldnt send the broken nut back before having a new one sent but they trusted me to send it back after i had fitted the new ones. Cant knock that for customer service. the wheel wouldnt have come off but if it had all sheared off i might have struggled removing it at the roadside
  2. Well i purchased a set of McGard locking wheel nuts a few months back and the other day Chris noticed one was cracked. They have only ever been tightened by hand and never had a windy gun on them . Well after a couple emails to McGard in Germany they have sent me a new set, just got to send the broken one back now . Great service
  3. he has tie wrapped in up to stop it taking air back in .You may get away with it if you go for a normal rad cap which relieves under pressure but not under vacuum when its cooling .Am guessing the relief pressure would need to be higher than the standard cap too.
  4. x2 your rad cap will have a 2 way valve in it .If you remove the bottle it will blow out water as it heats up and expands and then when cooling it will suck in air
  5. how the hell did you do that ? you wont get a new strip , its the seal which covers where the 2 skins join to stop water getting in and im sure its put on when the car is built before it is sprayed,
  6. mate had this when he imported a tegi, 2002 but with a 2004 plate even though it came into the country in 2009, all down to dvla , guess they fucked up
  7. as for the brakes , changing the pads out for redstuffs made the world of difference to mine and is relatively cheap to do comparing it to a bbk which if you arent going to track it would be a waste of cash imho
  8. i think i paid just over a ton for mine off ebay , runs much cooler now
  9. Hi Tabba hows things , not heard from you in a while mate Have been watching this for months in case need a new one some time , not too bad a price i thought for a complete kit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160718050010?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
  10. seems a bit quiet with no posts yet, they must be having a cracking time Jammy sods
  11. im the same mate , the slightest thing not quite sounding right and im thinking what it could be , usually nothing, lol
  12. any other things that make you think head gasket ? over heating ? loss of coolant ? I think you may be panicking over nothing if its only that staining that is concerning you, could be from not having coolant in it in the first place as its also a corrosion inhibitor
  13. just over 6 years now and still puts a huge grin on my face, she is part of the family now and i cant see me getting rid ever. Still lots of work to be done and i dont think she will ever be totally finished but she is getting there
  14. go to a fasteners who sell bolts etc , they should have plenty in stock and will match the thread and pitch up for you ,make sure you get the correct grade of bolt, probably a 9.9 ( higher tensile strength than standard 8 )
  15. result now be careful with that glue, dont want Ken stuck to your rear sorry meant the rear of the car lol
  16. you dont need to spend thousands on it , just a few little mods to make it individual to you and to stamp your mark on it , thats what its all about itsnt it ?
  17. remove the one remaining mesh and fit new to all openings so it all matches, could be sprayed black, anthrathcite etc
  18. problem is that if you leave it too long long it will be worn down to the rivets on the friction plate which will score the flywheel then you will need to have that machined too
  19. bad news mate , you must be gutted, lovely looking motor doesnt mean you have to leave tho
  20. will look sweet when its done , shame they didnt come off the assembly line like it
  21. thanks for the offer but im taking them off tomorrow ready for machining asap, dont want to risk damaging the tyres and really cant stand the look of them being so sunk in now your offset must be about the same as mine i guess as the usual spacer for gen7 is 25mm isnt it ?
  22. and to top today off my chimney pots have come loose and are rocking in the wind, they had to be at the end of the house next to the drive didnt they grrrr had to move cars just in case they come down , just hope they are far enough away or i will be one unhappy bunny in the morning if they are damaged
