  6. Cheers guys! Not sure about remaps yet.. 211bhp and massive up in torque is capable from remapping the 170 engine but I've read a few issues with the DPF occuring so probs wont bother. This is my first ever VAG car.. I've owned alot of BMW's and almost found myself in a 118d m-sport but after trying the mk5 golf, audi a3, bmw, clio rs200, mini cooper s.. the Audi was just, for me, the nicest place to be with the best feel. Insurance was cheaper than celica and I got a nice refund from Sky as well! Happy Days!
  7. Hmm.. Celica feels cheap and plasticy.. it goes well round corners but never really made me happy. I really like the A3 after trying mk5 golf gt tdi, mini cooper s and clio rs200.. has a quality feel and very refined. Handling is far from dull and pulls harder and stronger than Celica.. I reckon I'll be happy. Its a bit special to me as its best possible spec and most expensive vehicle I've ever bought! Will post some pics on Wednesday
  8. Seat main dealer gave me £2000 for my 2001 190, I paid £2100 off a club member back in May. I had to push for that, the fact my car is mint with full history knock price up more, however, book price is only £1250 for excellent condition.
  9. Its already been replaced with a 2009 Audi A3 2.0 TDi 170 S-Line.. I may stick club stickers on my toolbox but free to anyone who sends me a self address envelope. Safe to say I wont have another Celica in gen 6 or gen 7 models. It has to go on Wednesday. If I had more time I'd remove the 40mm Apex springs and 25mm spacers all round.
  10. Well, traded in the Celica today, dispite trying to like it, it just wasn't for me! So I've got some club stickers and a set of 17" wheels to sell, advertise sometime this week. I like looking at some of the mod. diaries so I'll keep looking back from time to time as I'm a paid club member for another 11 months. Cheers Lee
  11. This was what I was worried about.. I couldn't live with my wheels tucked in.. they sit flush now
  12. Think I'll upgrade the brakes probably and tighten up the suspension a little more.. but will just leave the engine alone.. I already removed the CAI and re-fitted standard airbox... Would quite like some 8Jx17 wheels with the right offsets so I can also remove the 25mm spacers all round as well.
  13. Now its making sense!!! Quiet B roads are now the Celica's new home, if I'm going anywhere... its avoid dual carriageways!! Not because I think the Celica is fast, I find the performance quite tame.. but because I love the go-kart like handling that just makes me smile! I would really love this car if it had more torque and better brakes!
  14. country lanes for me! i always feel guilty after spending time in lift since I tend to have quite alot of mechanical sympathy from previous cars and end up checking the oil after parked up to find that it hasn't dropped even a millimetre!! handling wise, plenty of grip and limited bodyroll.. touch of liftoff oversteer but can compensate with mild left foot braking as mentioned in another topic. think I just need to give it some more time! some dry roads would be nice also!
  15. Ok guys.. I need to use the car on Saturday and I'll let you know if abusing it makes me feel better! ha!
