  3. Done a few little goodies on cars over the years to "see me through"... duck tape wrapped around the high pressure PAS pipe on the gen4 to hopefully drive up to Coventry for our first gen4 meet was a good one...then a series of cable ties over the top of it to keep the pressure in,it looked like a dinosaur spine But it did the job, replaced the foam lagging over the top, wiped the dribbles of fluid up ,and took the car for the MOT. It passed

  4. Mine wasnt on a Celica but a brand new VW Van had just put a new elevating roof, windows, heating, full camping conversion in and it was ready to go to the customer. Decided to test the new conversion before they collected it, they knew it was being tested. Up in the windy roads of Highlands on a hairpin met someone the other way and though only touched ended up with a fair size dent in the sliding door, no paint damage. Took door panel off at side of road, pushed and dent popped out but wouldnt stay. To this day it probably still has the piece of wood i found to keep it pushed out behind the trim panel

  5. I managed to get a fair bit off it removed using a brush. But thats the only way it will shift. I tried brake cleaner soak and even soaked it in gunk degreaser and even hot water which made no difference. But any parts you can touch with a tissue or brush or your finger will clean out and become clear. Iv recently bought a pressure washer so will give that a try too.

  6. My old Gen7 has a cable tie in one of the suspension struts somewhere. The specific part wasn't under any stress but it has a cable tie in there all the same! Oh and the power streering cooling pipe leaked and I chopped out the leaky pipe and put a hose from a washing machine in to bridge the gap. Did the job and never leaked again

  7. I had a throttle cable snap on a motorbike once so the twist grip wouldn't work. Had a few tools on me so rode home pulling the snapped end of the throttle cable with a pair of pliers!
