It's an on/off situation over the last three years. I had a collection of repairs to do on the car and while it sits waiting for me to fix them the car becomes a piece of 'recreational equipment' for the kids to play on. When I complained to their parents the answer I got from them was "well, you're not using it...", the second time I complained the answer I got was more direct - "F*** Off !"

Yes, by a boy of similar age to your neighbours - 8/9 year old. It started off as "mysterious" then I realised the damage began shortly after the new neighbours moved in. The list so far... Both headlight washers jets broken off. Countless scuffs and scratches on the bonnet due to him using it as a slide. Lefthand sidelight broken. Drivers door lock blocked up with a piece of wood (twig). Front reg' plate pulled off. Him and his friends seen sitting on the roof of the car. All done while the car was in a communal parking area.

If you still find yourself struggling, leave a link to the thread you want saving and I will copy and upload it for you.

If you are comparing my screenshot to what you see on your computer, then it will be different because I'm using Linux KDE Neon and you are probably using some version of Windows. Sorry for the late reply, I've not visited recently. So, right-click page one of the thread and select "Save Page As..." You should now see something similar to the screenshot below. Choose to save as "Web Page, complete" and add a number - 01, 001, etc - at the end of the file name, but before .html, this will keep the pages in the right order. You will have to repeat the above for each page. Once you've got all the pages you need, you can put everything - files and folders - into one folder of your own choice.

I would hope that they wouldn't call the police if you ignored their advice not to drive it, but who knows? -
Rattling heat shield for mot pass/fail?
Xanadu replied to budgetbondbile's topic in General Celica Discussion
Try and find a dedicated MoT centre - one that doesn't do repairs and servicing etc - you'll get a fairer test. -
Exedy Clutch Kit TYK2064 for my Gen' 5. Tatty, shop-soiled box and a little bit of light rust on the pressure plate case, but I'm not complaining for the price I paid. eBay: £28.98 inc' delivery. Shop-soiled clearance item.

The liquid around the tooth in your photo does seem to have a redish tint to it which would indicate that it is coolant (Toyota Forlife / Long Life Coolant is red in colour) but removing the matrix isn't a job I would like doing myself. If you can find a way to bypass the matrix using a piece of rubber tube, that might be the best short term option to stop any more leaks inside the car.

If you can find a "dedicated" MoT testing business you will find their results are far more honest. They don't do repairs so it's left to the vehicles owner to take it to a garage or do the repairs themselves. Local councils will sometimes offer this 'no axe to grind' service in between maintaining their own vehicles.

If anyone else wants to try the "starter method" to remove the pulley bolt, remember to disconnect the HT coil first so the engine doesn't start.

It depends how deep the scratches are, but a polishing compound called Regipol is used in the jewelry industry for polishing stones, watch face glass etc.

steering wheel horn wire repair HELP!
Xanadu replied to 25th Anniversary's topic in General Celica Discussion
You could try using some heat shrink tubing in the area where it usually breaks, this will help to reinforce the wire and allow it to take some abuse. -
I haven't used either of these myself, but Granville Heavy Duty Rust Cure and Epoxy Mastic 121 are supposed to be good. They are both expensive, but cheaper than the cost of a welded repair if you let the rust take over.
