  1. you rarely see a phone box these days never mind a red one! nice one Carla
  2. Lol, in through the passenger wheel well then. Bottom bolt is normally a c**t to get loose, can end up kinking the line handy enough. I have had no joy getting these off, even in breaker's I'm stood in the bay putting all my 9stone on them. Least you know how to do the pump now lol
  3. Nice one fuel pump is under the rear seat, there is a clip under the front at each side that needs released then just lift it out. Black panel with wires going through gets screwed off, disconnect the plug and pull it out of the panel. Undo the banjo bolt on the pump SLOWLY as it will be pressurised, then slide the return pipe off and take all the 8mm bolts out to release the pump and holder. Its a bit tricky and needs twisted a bit to pull it free Tip, remove fuel cap to release pressure. Tip, have a basin handy to put under the pump when removing
  4. AMEN to that buddy, pain in the arse these cars but thats why i love them so much
  5. if your looking at it from the drivers side its the cog on the left, the cog to the right is the water pump. just found a guide i done i ws looking for, http://www.celicaireland.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=8586
  6. i woodnt count on the cops either, they are useless unless they see it happening themselves my daughter had her Flickr scooter stole from the front garden, bit of asking around and it was one of the local toe-rags. Well anyways, 2 of his mates and a neighbour gave statements to say they had seen him. Cops passed it on to the pps(public procecution service)who then decided there was not enough evidence??? took me a while to catch up with him and now he will have bother using his hands for a long time
  7. Scumbag c***s mate fucking scum!!! Your house insurance may cover it if is on the drive? Paulus may have a window Check my thread for a hole burner lol
  8. Lmfao Chris, just stock up on magic trees too lol
  9. no mate, could swear i had some pics but cant find them. ive a few engines about the yard so will take some pics later on
  10. 1/4 drive flexi joint gets them mate, wild tight for getting at. dont forget to slacken the 2x10mm on the top of the plasitic cam cover, this will enable you to lift the alternator loom to the side. oh and dont be just letting the oil into the cylinder by pulling the plug out, a big syringe with a bit of hose on it and kitchen roll on a kebeb skewer work well
  11. The big silver bit the throttle body is attached to mate that sits on top of the engine
  12. ive done a lot of these now, toyota say to put a wee bit of silicone at the corners where the gasket goes over the cam humps. personally ive never used it, just made sure both mateing surfaces are spotless. disconect the throttle body, 4x 12mm head bolts, disconect the throttle cable support and holder too, to remove the intake there are 7 i think 12mm head bolts and nuts holding it on, theres a few pipes and wires too, pictures will help. when all thats out of the way the rear screw bolts will be seen, these i find easy to remove/install with a 1/4 drive socket set with a swivel joint, the rest are handy with a screwdriver. you will also have to loosen the 2 10mm bolts on the wire cover going to the alt to enable that to be lifted so the cover can be removed. when you have the cover of you will see the gasket track, i use cotton buds and white spitit or petrol to clean this, you will probly find the centre gasket will crumble in your hand while the outer gasket will still appear new. make sure the surface on the head is spotless too, i use a wee 1/2" scraper and kitchen roll for this. when you come to re-fitting the screw bolts put them all in hand tight then(my method)start to nip them up from the rear to the front, i work from left to right and once they are all hand tight i will go over them again and give them A FINAL 1/4 TURN to finish
  13. if it wasnt that far away i wood be checking it out, theres a few celicaireland members up that way, i will say to them to have a sniff round if possible the only other tte car i have seen for sale was in england and they where looking 125,000. white castrol
  14. ^that looks wide to me Paul.. the sideways out the corner shot it looks like the rear q panel has been made into a narrow body, not on purpose but hmm im off for a few days, test drive Factory Ex Works Celica 185 GPA, Ex Markku Alen. 21. any pics or info on it ? someone here may know about it they are an epic car
  22. i think the 165 and 185 are more iconic than the 205, 205 prices are going up aswell as 185s. in 6 months from i bought mine another one ive kept an eye on has been sold a few times, started at 1700 and changed again for 2500 i wood now value mine at at least 3000 with all the extra mods, maybe more ?? cossies have been strong money for years and will continue to climb i think, have seen a few escorts at 15,000 odds and the older mk2 stuff is sky high. the mates mint factory origanal mk1 mexico was valued at 18,000 at the start of the year, its worth more but. have youse seen the price of an rs500 lately the delta is a stunning looking car, martini rally colours are ive seen a few over here including a yellow one and it was a beauty, i know nothing else about them. if i had to but a classic ford it wood have to be a sierra saphire cossie 4wd, the escorts dont do it for me after mk4
