  1. A bit of tank tape will sort that out .There was us thinking they you were stuck at home glued to the 6 Nations, Oh how little faith we have. Hope you get it sorted out soon Richard, One of my mates has to put in a claim to the Council / highways dept for samage done to his car last year. The pot hole he hit was so big & deep it split his side skirts.and damaged all 4 of his wheels. £5K from Mr Porsche for replacement parts.
  2. When we are talking bikes, Japanese metal is made from Shitanium or Crapalunium, where as some of the more exotic German stuff is made from Unobtanium.
  3. If it ain't broke don't fix it. You will only be throwing money away and may be putting an engine in worse internal condition with less miles in.
  4. I have the complete opposite at my local Mr.T's when I occasionally pop in. Their main thing is that their prices are ridiculously high for an old car.(£609.00 for a pair of top mounts for a Gen 6). Though if you have a JDM model they are stuffed. If it's not on their computer system (which doesn't have a vast selection on it) then they can't really help.. They actually suggested getting in touch with the Celica Club to get parts or looking on the internet as the knowledge base is far greater then theirs. Sounds about right . I can understand their issue with older cars. We are like that at work. Especially on things like the Esprit & Mk.1 Elise. There are so few people who were trained on them that are still at work that the knowledge just isn't there.
  5. Hmm, that's interesting. Mine do the same, the 'clunk' only comes from the NS shoes. I have taken them apart to check countless times now, but I cannot see where or why they should make the 'clunk' noise.
  6. Another website I tent to frequent far too often (apart from CCUK) has a nice little article in the PH Heroes section all about the GT-Four http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=161&i=28710 Worth a read for the un-initiated amongst us.
  7. Right, any unsuspecting Celica without club stickers on is now a target in & around Norfolk & Suffolk
  8. http://www.performancealloys.com/alloy-wheels-offset.aspx Some info on there may be helpful

  10. Gen 6 plug leads from Mr T are £164.00
  11. And by the looks of it Wickey is now the proud owner of it
  12. Some good info there Tim. Hopefully this will answer many questions that are placed on this and other forums. One question I have is, back in the day when I was riding classic motorcycles, many of them used 'straight' oil, ie.SAE40 or SAE50. I presume that this was just a ref. to the flow at operating temerature and there was no 'cold start' figures It was said that 'straight' oils were better for rollerbearing cranks that white metal bearing cranks. Can you enlighten me if this theory is correct or not. Cheers Simon
  13. The comments I tend to get are "Love the colour". From my neighbour recently it's usually a tongue-in-cheek comment of "Havn't you finished rebuilding it yet" or "good to see her back on her wheels" and as for other comments recently it's been " Sir, those exhausts pipes look loud"
  14. Got some microfibre wash mits & a sheepskin / lambs wool polishing mit c/o fleabay
  15. My old rad had 0.9 bar on the cap, the new one I bought had 1.1 bar. That is only a difference of 2.9 Psi
  16. I'm in Attleborough. Interesting fact is that an MOT station is not an official designated place to check for noise. Not part of the MOT regs. I'm surprised that Plod, nor the Magistrate picked up on that, but fair play to you for standing up in court . That's two cases lost by Norfolk Plod for the same thing
  17. What is the legal limit for a stationary test ? I know what VOSA quote, but is that the legal limit? I also know what the Construction & use regs state, but that is a Drive by test, not a Stationary one. I also know what the Police like to think is the legal limit, but they don't seem to have a clue, and they are the ones who are meant to uphold the law. Where did you get your exhaust tested Keo ? I also not that you too are in Norfolk, not too far from me. Is this exhaust thing just a Norfolk thing ?
  18. Just copy the link to the PDF for ISO5130 and shove it under their face 'if you do get stopped' Also don't forget your passport. Real Norfolk people don't like invaders from across the boarder
  19. You could always make a temporary one, Then out with the dustpan & brush to clear up all the mess
  20. That looks like something out of a SciFi movie, Very Batman-esque
  21. It sure is different, and I quite like it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-CURREN-2-0-GT-Coupe-LPG-rare-Japanese-Import-Celica-ST206/261291885083?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D17233%26meid%3D1568028372594231098%26pid%3D100005%26prg%3D8045%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D5%26sd%3D271278515777%26
