Ha,I got the car in 2009. you specify yourself which date you want on the disc,so if your car was say registered in August 1993, he'll do one for 31:08:93 if you want. Can have any date you like . He'll print the car details on the disc (s) or you can write it in yourself. You get 3 discs i think

Maybe more for those of us with older Gens, but let's face it Celicas are all 'old' now... I had a couple of people at meets ask me where I got my tax disc from, they're a genuine looking exact copy of the old discs we used to display. You can choose the date to be displayed and also the location where the old Post Office stamp is. Mine for example, are dated for November 1987 as thats when my car was first registered ,with a Maidstone PO stamp. Just think they can be a nice retro touch for older cars. He'll replace them FOC if they sun-fade off etc. He's doing some more for me as my last one is faded now, great service and communication.Ordered my ones few years ago now.You dont just get the one either. http://www.poplargreg.co.uk/taxdiscs/taxdiscs2/ordering.htm check it out if it's something that interests you.

I run my JDM engined Gen4 and JDM 2005 Honda Euro-R on Vpower, it was 147 about 3 weeks ago at one of the couple of Shells i use near me, was 151 I think last week... Luckily i work locally, the Honda is my daily but a commute in either isn't needed.

Mobile mechanic or garage Near East London/ Essex
Sherv replied to Sid2gr8's topic in General Celica Discussion
https://www.westfieldmotors.co.uk/about-us Looks like you have options. I used these guys before in Rayleigh for a geo setup on my Gen4,was a long time ago but was impressed with their service. They had a few Celicas in there at the time having different bits done. -
All down to budget as well . Though as its a CS, get the best you can afford. I've recommended these a few times, did my Gen4 brilliant for years til I got the garage sorted. You can specify your model to get an exact fit.Properly breathable, waterproof, and secure straps all round. You should always try and uncover the car to let the paint etc breathe whenever possible though,no cover is totally ideal for any long length of time. I went for Stormshield + outdoor cover with wing mirror pockets,in black.Lasted years. https://www.specialisedcovers.com/stormshield-plus-car-cover 01943 864 646 to tell them your exact model.

My gen4 hasn't done any real mileage either, its garaged and on a trickle charger and has been out a few times but even so,did a brake check, and as I do the servicing myself I gave her fresh oil and filter, plugs etc last week.Parts aren't expensive so a no brainer for me really. But yes a health check on the brakes for you should be done as Jim mentioned.Cars don't like being sat around, electricals should be fully utilised when you do get her out too,get the lights going, heater blowing ,etc.

What's happened to all the charged celicas ?
Sherv replied to Bumblebee's topic in General Celica Discussion
His car has beem mot'd every year it seems. Had a couple of fails that needed sorting due to emissions so im guessing its still got all the kit! Not seen him probably since his wedding, christ that was ages ago. Should catch up. -
In Private,naturally.

Damn straight. Yeah you never know who you may bump in to. I was in Sainsburys looking for a birthday card and the woman next to me commented on my t shirt that had a yellow Barry Sheene '7' decal on it. (hero of mine from childhood, small decal on all my cars) Started a chat and it was his neice, Paula. Lot of the family are still local as her Dad ran Paul Smart motorcycles in Kent. I was trying to act like i wasn't exploding inside, ha. But yeah thats a great story, proper hero stuff that.

Ha, the ol' Beams Gen4 shouldn't be underestimated

If a genuine original one is available and not silly money then fair enough, if not id just have a stainless one built to oem spec mate rather than a pattern part.

Taxing your vehicle under MOT Covid extension
Sherv replied to Sherv's topic in General Celica Discussion
yeah we've all had one like that especially if you're of a certain vintage like me .Mad to think that Mk2 would be worth a fortune now, even in that condition.2 door sir? Ker-ching. -
Why do Celica owners BS power outputs?
Sherv replied to alwayzsidewayz's topic in General Celica Discussion
Think its the only Gen full stop with those figures currently on 4 pot N/A ,on here anyway.(at the moment). Getting genuine worthwhile power gains from N/A cars is time consuming and usually expensive ,even more so with Celicas,3sge or otherwise.First port of call is usually improving power to weight as most of us know. -
Taxing your vehicle under MOT Covid extension
Sherv replied to Sherv's topic in General Celica Discussion
The DD came out for the 205 okay, so I'll disregard the warning letter. Car is showing its taxed and MOT is October now on the Gov site, so that's worked out in my case.
