  1. I'm surprised members are advising the undersized socket and hammer method, not when you can spend a measly £18 without risking damaging the rim, and then sell the lockers on as a complete set if you don't want them.
  2. That's a long shot, but you never know. I take it you know the 24157SU is the type number, not the code number, should you ring McGard on Monday.
  3. As this car was first registered 31.03.03, I think it's highly unlikely to be a pre face lift. I agree that just in case it is the earlier spec., hold out for a face lift with all the improvements they came with.
  4. Couple of errors in the listing. You're probably aware the car isn't a T Sport, and the spoiler wasn't OE, so would be classed as a mod.
  5. V-TEC eh?, I wonder if Cravo will be all over this car like a rash, it is local to him too
  6. I think that's what Ian meant
  7. Uneven tread blocks?
  8. ..and Ireland too. Those sidewalls look massive in 15"
  9. As Mr Munky would say.."you have to pay to play", and If you have a black theme with your ride, they look mint. Weren't they on eBay around £155 from Japan?.
  10. Use the 5W40 fully synth Triple QX, it will only be slightly more than the 10W40 part. http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/engine-oils-and-car-fluids/engineoils/5w40-engine-oil/?521776031&0&cc5_248 Halfords will also be doing a very good deal on their own branded 5W40 next month.
  11. Ian, round here we have a saying for people like you.. Yer on wrong bus!
  12. Some people can be very cruel
  13. I'd say the average owner would be in their fifties, lives on the South coast, drives a T Sport, knew nothing about moddin' till they discovered CCUK, now going through their second childhood, regularly swallows a dictionary, and falls asleep in public.
  14. Just spotted this one, looks a bargain with 10 months ticket IF it's not burning oil.. http://www.gumtree.com/p/toyota/toyota-celica-long-tax-and-test/1087308685 http://www.wisebuyers.co.uk/index.jsp?guide=prices&page=used_cars&no=3&make=Toyota&model=Celica+%281999-06%29&vip=13385&yearplate=2003%2F52&mileage=122&x=55&y=2
  15. My mechanics workshop is around seven minutes drive away, so the temp gauge is on the middle marker by then
  16. Just make sure the oil is warm/hot before draining
  17. Kev thinks this 140 could well cost a lot more to repair than Danny's estimate. I would have asked Amit if he was interested in buying it as is.
  18. Have you seen the.."dent"?. http://www.celica-club.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/168332-had-a-bump-this-morning/#entry2135198
  19. All lies..merely a Yorkshire Whippitsnatcher  Now..when you can remember the Zeppelins, and Spanish flu, and..bugger, I've forgotten
  20. Happy Anniversary Kev 16v!

  21. Thank you, I worked in the motor trade for many years, Neil, and what so many people don't seem to take into account, is depreciation. So I like to think I've chosen carefully, and then keep for a long time
  22. It's now 10 years since I ordered my 7 from Falmer & Carlisle in Loughborough, still a relative newcomer compared to the TR, purchased in March 1985.
  23. Years ago, people used to drive long distances to use this company.. http://www.tintr.co.uk/
  24. What help are you looking for?. If you have a pre face lift UK car, the replacement battery is an 005. HTH.
