supersai101
So after spending 3 hours stuck on the a55 I'm still at Bangor trying to get home at the moment. Been stuck doing start stop on hills for 3 hours. My brand new clutch I got 2 weeks ago started to smell. Have I killed it? And how do I get home!? simonwref
shitter, i saw the signs saying that the 55 was closed at j17. hope all is ok.
planc
I would have thought it would be fine so long as it is driving OK, some brands of clutches stick really bad if you slip them.

supersai101
I spent 3 hours between junction 10 and 11 both Bangor junctions, had to turn off at 11 and then there was a massive queue for the a5 diversion that pops you up just past conwy tunnel which is no good as I live on the other side of that tunnel and its shut... supersai101
And I live in penmaenmawr. Stupid weather! On the plus side I just had the nicest biggest Mexican burger from spoons. Decided to turn around and get tea before I collapsed lol. Keeping an eye on traffic report to tell me I can go home. martinking6
Hiya sai I would be very surprised if its burnt out from stop start in traffic, it should be fine was the set offs on a hill or something so needed clutch slip to set off ? supersai101
3 minutes? Hahahaha what a joke. Just read on the BBC news page that some guy left Llandudno at 1 and has been stuck for over 7 hours. I left my house at 11. If it had started slightly earlier I would have not gone in. I need to test the clutch to make sure its ok but no road to do it.

ams
It will be ok, I've used my 7 too pull cars with seized brakes up the 1 in 3 incline for my unit and it's stunk but once cooled down been ok. 207,000 miles and original clutch

supersai101
O.M.G!! What a night.... I only just got back. Left Bangor at 6pm - got stuck on the a55 for 3 hours - had to turn off back for Bangor - went for food as I was starving - tried the A55 again, still shut - went on the A5, jam packed and stand still - planned new route myself using a map - found the road was FULLY underwater, cars were going through but coming out with water pouring out of their doors (wasn't happening for me) - found a single track country lane to go around that, got a mile in, a van had broken down!!! - had to reverse a mile in the dark with black out windows (I think i may of scapped a few bushes...), all i could do was listen to instructions from my mate who got out and directed, he ended up ruining his shoes - decided to go back on the A5, still standstill so had a game of music roulette - After another hour of going nowhere a crowd had gathered talking to the police car ahead of me - We all ended up following the police car as she escorted us with her blues and twos! - Finally home..... Iv gone through MASSIVE bits of water, hit pot holes, ran over ROCKS, scapped the side of my car on things, burnt the clutch, oh yeah and i did reverse when i saw the massive water without taking the handbrake off..... Got home, and she still looks perfect, but only daylight will tell :S
