GreyRacer
My son got a bit of a fright today. He was taking my Celica out when he felt something wrong. Both the outside rear friction pads of the Green Stuffs separated from the steel back plate and falling out onto the road. The inside ones are still attached. Anyone come across this phenomenon before?
Bumblebee
had this with my last set of redstuffs on one side , this side had been sticking and causing overheating earlier on in the year so i put it down to that
GreyRacer
Hi Paul, had no problems before this. Calipers were fully refurbed all new parts and discs pads were brand new EBC.

Biggy
sounds like the glue they use to stick the friction material to the backing plate isn't to good? I wonder if they have a sell buy date maybe? Edited February 25, 2012 by bigb1970

c.a.r.
There was a story about this problem floating around last year, everyone thought it was a bit of scaremongering but it was indeed a dodgey batch of pads. Is there a possibility that you have a set of those pads, when were they purchased?
