  1. doesn't matter about the gauge. Its the amps that matters. You'll need good copper cable and only enough for it to turn over or you'll be using big heavy cables on overkill. Can't remember the exact amp needed, let me try and dig it up.
  2. I've never used that stuff from Halfods but it looks like it did the job. Get your self a DA in future and it'll only take seconds without the back busting ache.
  3. job well done. If it still feels rough when you brigh it with your fingers, I'd suggest you polish it with some 3m paste.
  4. turn the four into a beast track car. Have some fun for a while on track then in a show room
  5. So far I've switched nearly every year. Reason being is my first two years when I did accept the renewal, I found it wasnt really cheaper when I called around and was a sucker to not look at the time. I felt that when insurers have you there, they dont necessarily give you the best renewal as they don't have to compete for your business no more.
  6. Bloody good price is you ask me. If he can wrap complicated angles and vents then do it.
  7. I hate it when bloody idiots use the impact gun to tighten wheel nuts. I have ultra light wheel nuts and they shatter easily so can't use impact gun. Thats why I always ask them to let me take off an put the nuts on myself.
  8. Unfortunately the life span of our ceramic moulds for the carbon body kits had come to an end. We at RTP have decided that it is no longer cost effective for us to invest in a new ceramic mould for a small market at such a low sales price hence we can no longer offer the fallowing products: -Carbon C-Once Style lip -Carbon TRD Style Skirts -Carbon TRD Style rear spats However we will continue to offer the same products in FRP and as always, the fitments is still perfect. Those of you who where lucky enough to buy our past carbon kit, count your self lucky and look after your exclusive kit. Ray & Taras
  9. Is this for real? Or is it a fake picture or just some concept with a GT four name? The GT4 is a rally racing pedigree car. This looks nothing of the sort.
  10. I had 1 C one bumper, 1 Gen 7 rear bumper, 2 lips, 2 pairs of skirts, 4 tyres all in mine. Seats right up to the front and boot just about closed.
  11. Isnt it obvious? This person obviously drives in revers all the time.
  12. Sounds to me like your top layer or laquer is wearing thin. DO you have any pictures of it? Teh reason why you shoulnt polish it is because it removes thin layers of the protective laquer. Of course treat it like paint work but too much washing and polishing, eventually you'll wear it away and re-laquering a carbon bonnet isn't easy.
  13. treat it with only car wash products and don't polish it. Normal thinly diluted soapy water works fine.
  14. What kinda porn you and SJ been watching? I just know you're going to try again Sam as it is addictive. When I first tried a few years ago, I bought the cheap stuff and it just did not work for me in the gear gater bit where it's just too deep and would not stretch. When it did it didn't look right and ripped or would not stick. You did a decent job. Just need to get the bubbles out and roll the edges under so it doesn't start peeling off. Did you have a heat gun? Try heating the surface to 40 degs first before applying. Remember that lazer temp sensor we had?
  15. If it was during warm up then it's normal
  16. Is that your corsa in the back with the wheels in? Quickly stripping it back before going to the insurance?
  17. I hope you're not using those for your "water" in/outlet for the rad? These are for covering "wire" and not designed to allow hot water under pressure.
  18. I assume you're talking about fake carbon Vinyls as to real carbon? Most large wrapping companies only only offer 6 months warranty which only covers peeling, bubling and discolourment. Stone chips, rips and wear and tear is not covered.
  19. Oh yeah! Forgot to say thanks Nic! I got the door cards and bits.
  20. who would had thought the rear ass of a gen 7 was tougher than the front of a golf? TBH even if you got the details of the driver in front it wouldn't had made any difference. The argument would had been, why was you so close in the first place? You should had given enough breaking distance. The golf would had to pay up in this case.
  21. Didn't you know he has like 20 of those resisters which gives at least 1hp per resister
  22. lucky you didn't go for a wee than? lol
  23. Hmmm.... maybe I should buy it just for the rear spats? lol
  24. ahh. well spotted. Taras must had been on the left over beer from the BBQ when listing this ad.
