Daily drivers seem to have less rust than ones that sit around most of the time. Very odd.

Has anyone done cavity wax in the doors? Is it needed? If so whats best way to get the applicator wand in?

Anyone used one of those car tents? Think you get inflatable ones too.

Remove both pipes that go into the ps reservoir. The return line pipe i put extension on it to a bucket and a funnel on the lower pipe. Jacked up car and turned steering side to side and the fluid comes out from the return line. Keep putting in new fluid into the funnel and turning steering till it comes out clean.

If its a gen7 you got then 250 to a tank is not a weight saving problem. I get 350 plus miles to a full tank thats with me and 2 others in the car. And i weight 150kg alone. Unless you got a super charger on it somethings not right. Then again if your giving it the beans non stop the your doing rather well. Lol

Rear hatch weighs a lot. When i replaced the hatch struts i was really surprised to see how heavy it was to lift.

If its not doing anything out of the ordinary then a good service with all filters oil power steering flush new aux belt etc will see it set for years to come.

Change that interior bulb to led. Uses less energy. Is brighter so you can easily see its turned on and wont generate the heat onto your slaphead. Lol Hopefully battery charges up fine

I did mine on the driveway. Wire brush some sand paper and rust converter and paint brushes and spray can of zinc paint. The result: To Cost around 40 quid for all the gear 7 quid extra for the cavity wax. All done in one day. Would have gone far faster if my cordless drill worked. Had twist knot attachment that i never got to make use of. Also just found out they do rust converter in a spray can. So would be even faster to do and you dont need brushes.

Drove on 4 studs when i broke mine. No issues. My fiesta came with 4 studs as standard.

If you have a new subframe and the bits coming in then you dont need a restoration place to work on the car. Any garage is capable of swapping bits over even kwik fit. If you wanted your old subframe restored then yes you need a decent place to do the job or can be done yourself. I did mine while jacked up on the driveway.

Front screen demister on fiesta is electronic style like the rears on cars but its got hundreds of those thin lines across the screen. Think the relay for the front one is 50amps.
