  1. ^^^ I used that stuff and it's some sticky s**t but good to go with it.
  2. Even if it's metallic it will need flatting back especially if it has orange peel effect, You could get a real nice shine on the lacquer but still see the effect through it.
  3. When doing the base coat use plenty of water and light rubbing, All you are doing is flattening it back, Same when doing the lacquer before compounding and polishing,
  4. Yes mate with 2000 or higher grit plenty of clean water. Then again after the lacquer.
  5. That was so lucky to have no damage apart from a few surface marks, WOW
  6. I did them over 2 weeks. Mainly because of the one that had chunks missing. A mate done the missing chunks for me because it was to much to fill and wouldn't have lasted. He drilled some small holes and built it back up with liquid alloy run into it, I then ground it to shape. Minor scratches and scuffs can be done with chemical metal., Use it just like filler.
  7. No worries mate. They were a lot of work. Well the one in the pic with the chunks missing was the other 3 were just rubbing down and painting.
  8. I didn't curb crawl lol, that's how they were when i got them.
  9. From this To this To rub them down i used a medium grit wet and dry then a 1500 grit. Sprayed them with high build primer from halfords 3 coats. Rub the last coat down with plenty of water with a 2000 grit wet and dry. White paint is toyota 040 from halfords again. Again 3-4 coats last one rub smooth with 2000 grit. Then the clear gloss coats again 3 coats then polished up when hardened off after a few days.
  10. Pulling up on my brother inlaws drive last night to drop the 2 boys off for the weekend, Their were a group of kidies hanging around and the one comes over to me and says, That car is fu****g sick, the lights even go up and down im gona get me one of them man safe.. I thought good luck buddy.if you can first find one I was in the gt4 165.
  11. As said mate most alloys have recesses in the back that the nut will sit in to.
  12. I think the first mock up of the gen 7 front could look rather smart if you can get the curves to match up. The light area could be a problem though.
  13. Saturday when waiting in line for tyres to be fitted, Was in the gen 5 Lady who was before me says Is that yours, Very nice and rather sporty. I hope you don't use that for rallying It's to nice to get wrecked doing that.
  14. Lol from, Santa to i had,some new 6x9's for the gt4
  15. Yeah Ade check the dizz.' ignitor' leads, filter, Also to check if any water got in the engine by taking out the plugs. You can get a nice long strip of rag lint free make sure each piston in turn is at the top and feed the rag in to get out any water that may be in their after turning her over with no plugs in.Also mate you don't wont any fuel going in when turning her over with out the plugs in.Easy way on your motor is to take the injector wire plugs off.or find the fuse and remove it. Any little drips remaining should condensate with the heat when running.. Hope you have her sorted soon.
  16. Glad you got her home Ade, What's your next step mate ?
  17. I wouldn't risk towing an out either not worth the risk It even says in the gt4 manual for towing the gt4 you must alter the selection arm on the gear box then raise the front or rear for the selection you have made and tow at 30mph
