  1. If its any consolation, it took me a good 8 months to start to like mine & i absolutely love it now. I had a TT 225 quattro & a Focus TDCI which were both completely different rides to the celica. Its hard going from a car with a relatively large amount of torque to the 7 which has basically none but you'll get used to it as you drive the car more.
  2. Its some legislation that the VOSA were talking about bringing in this year but never ended up actually doing it. In other words, ignore it.
  3. Hypothetically, you could download a keygen for it online to get a full version ... hypothetically speaking.
  4. No way you'll get them in less than 2 weeks though. I think your either going to have to break the bank & get some engineered locally or just wait.
  5. Im sorry but i'm not sure you'll find them that big with short notice mate. The H&R ones are per axle, not per wheel so they are too small. EDIT: Sorry, you posted before me.
  6. Happy Anniversary harv_j!

  7. You dont really need anything, just a lint brush to get rid of the bits & give it a vacuum. If you really want to clean it, shampoo it as you would cloth but i wouldnt recommend it incase the finish gets ruined. Suade/Alcantara is a funny material.
  8. Im making my way through a bottle of Autoglym leather moisturiser at the moment. Its great stuff & a decent price as well.
  9. I have two 8 inch kevlar coned subs you can have if you like. Need a box and amp for them though. Alpine systems are great but there budget range is cheap for a reason. No im not having a laugh mate, you can pay a lot more than that. Cheap 6x9 speakers are renowned to crack and the seals break down quickly. Same with wires, cheap wires means distorted sound quality. I'm not trying to put you off or anything, I just don't want to see you spend a decent amount of cash and end up with a system that you think is just alright and you arnt happy with.
  10. Whats the point in replacing everything if its all budget equipment? EDIT: If you want help fitting stuff, give me a shout.
  11. I use this stuff, only the best goes in. Whats the point in skimping out on 10 quid when its the stuff that ensures the health of your engine.
  12. Nothings free, break it down for an average setup for you if you want. HU - £300 minimum for a decent one with satnav built in, more if your not buying it off ebay. Speakers (front 2 + 2 tweeters) - £200 Speakers (rear speakers assuming 6x9) - £150 Wiring - £50 Thats £700 already without including any labour & the alterations required going from single to double din. If you want to do it by yourself, it will be alot cheaper mate.
  13. You dont need to go all the way across to burnley mate, I can think of a few local to me. Have a look round online. Just dont expect to do this on the cheap, its going to be around 1k if you want a full system install including wiring, HU remodelling, speaker install & all parts.
  14. Looks like a decent finish. looking forward to seeing them on your motor pal.
  15. Tree sap? Has someone been spraying nearby? Road works? Could be owt mate. On the plus side its an excuse to give it a real good polish
  16. Iv got one mate. Welcome to borrow it.
  17. Very precise amount of heat I used my electric fire in the living room this last time because i couldnt be arsed going into the garage & getting my heat gun.
  18. I am going to be honest, i dont remember doing that when i finished it this last time. Oops  Like i said, i'm going to try the cheap stuff again & if it doesnt set properly again then i'll have to dig a bit deeper into my pockets. I havnt used hexis before. I know everyone on here raves about them but i'v found KPMF & RiWrap to be pretty good ... and a load cheaper. Wrapped a range rover matt orange in KPMF & it looked great. Was in perfect knick when we removed it about 18 month later.
  19. Its definitely the vinyl. I gave it a good wash in the bath before drying thoroughly then wiping down with alcohol wipes. I didnt get any finger prints on the glue either. Just crap glue on the vinyl i think ... I still have loads left though so im going to give it another go. If that doesnt work then ill wrap my microwave or something
  20. I wasnt happy with my first attempt at it from last year & thought for the sake of 10 quid, get some off ebay. The surface is properly prepped (washed, dried then alcohol wiped), must be the vinyl. Oh well ...
  21. Anyone else having problems with vinyl wrap they have used in their motor recently? I re-wrapped my centre console last weekend & the heat has got to it & lifted the bloody thing. Not sure if its because it was cheap vinyl, the heat or a mixture of the two but either way its really f'in annoying. Suppose on the plus side it means i get to play wrapping again this weekend
  22. My fan is kicking in a lot recently, i think its just the hot weather ... i hope its just the hot weather How much is it to just change the head gasket/can you do it yourself? I know the gasket itself is about £30 isnt it. Might be worth just doing a bit of preventative maintenance if it will make you more comfortable driving your new car mate. It will probably need doing at some point anyway.
  23. I think i remember some for sale individually that were new on ebay for about £125 per wheel
  24. If they are large ballasts then they are probably analogue & yes they will lose brightness after a while. The digital ones dont as far as i know but are slightly more expensive
