  1. best of luck! would be nice to be able to do this myself. would save a small fortune
  2. looks like the plastic's been bent slightly from a gentle knock. there's a chance they might not even have noticed bumping into you if they had a big enough car hopefully it could be touched up carefully and polished to make it less obvious. you'll always know it's there though
  3. Uhhh when i typed "F", I was spelling out "Four" in my head..... yes, (4WD) AWD > RWD
  4. it just has to be screw on (for the correct size thread obviously) you don't need to lift the shifter to reverse, so no need to worry about that.
  5. well it should fit as Gen 7 is just a screw on, and it does say it fits the Gen 7 it looks lovely from the top down, until you see the side view if you don't have a shortshifter, that thing is going to be way too tall!! Get the 'Classic R' one of these instead. http://www.celica-cl...ghted-shifters/
  6. well, I own a Yaris... so I'm not entirely sure how it'll help you What are you hoping to do with the vinyl? Unless you change the speedo face itself, it'll always be orange, as the speedo facia is black and orange. You really need a completely new speedo face from Mook if you want any other colour. Changing the speedo LEDs to white will only make it a brighter orange... apart from the LCD fuel guage screen, that will be white. You'll need some clear vinyl to change the colour of that (or some coloured LEDs... but just using white LEDs makes it much easier, as you only need to order 1 set of LEDs)
  7. i received an a4 sheet of transparent red vinyl so I can attempt to finish changing the colour of my speedo display
  8. I've got some MTec super whites to fit to my Yaris too. I did notice that the ones currently in it are already a little white, but hoping the MTecs are better LED sidelights to completely remove the yellowyness
  9. well, if you don't fit it, all the oil will fall out
  10. fair enough. And to be fair you should get what you pay for. either way it'll be black by the time you do your first oilchange
  11. did the blue cost extra? if not, no-one's gonna see it...
  12. had a busy day got replacement rear wiper rubber, front wiper blades, wind deflectors for all 4 doors, LED sidelights, LED numberplate lights, new super white headlight bulbs, chrome indicator bulbs, and a bunch of LEDs to try and convert the speedo & dash.
  13. as above, the screen can be changed, there's just LEDs under there too.
  14. today I received 2x 24 LED festoon bulbs for my courtesy light and bootlight in the Yaris. I'm converting everything to LED/white bulbs to make it look a little cleaner
  15. well the facelift ones will be a direct swap. But I think someone once fitted some black ones (possibly from an MR2 (maybe...))
  16. is that on the preface 7?!? I've got one of them on my Yaris!! I actually lol'd when I first saw it
  17. i've seen someone try alcantra... it looked bad. very bad. trying to make it neat at all the tight corners is going to be nigh-on impossible to do so that it looks good. +1 on flocking if you want something different
  18. yeah, they don't look deep. Reckon you'll be fine doing it yourself
  19. under £100 is good price. I imagine it took a few hours work, so not too unreasonable. ah yes... could be bushes... I only said "rubbing gravel into it" as my dad told me at the weekend that when I was really young I saw him washing the car, so i picked up some gravel from the drive and 'helped' him thankfully it didn't do much damage
  20. jesus! were they rubbing gravel into it?? wow, that's amazing Mike! impressive stuff!
  21. Meguires Scratch-X. it's not quite as abrasive as t-cut i don't think, but it's good for getting scratches & some swirls out.
