  1. It was over £5000 plus the £11000 for the car but most of that was 10 years ago , did have around £3000 worth of parts that I bought over last 3 /4 years but am now using them on the newer Celica
  2. 10 years in a few weeks on my 140
  3. Stainless so better to go to an exhaust that makes custom systems
  4. if it doesn't have the bits you want for it - walk away, explain to him why
  5. i would too - I dont think he realised at the time that the police would be so rubbish at dealing with it - even though there was evidence
  6. Yep just means that your postcode crime rates go up, meaning your insurance goes up. Crime stats show falling crime - more like people just don't bother reporting
  7. My mate heard a crash, looked outside his window and his sisters car had been rear ended - sees a red civic driving away into a cul de sac. Finds a honda badge and Red panels on the floor, goes down the street and see the car smashed up. Calls police - they don't wanna know - even though all the evidence is there - as no witnesses to the actual accident and the civic driver denies it saying that was from before. Brings the car a 2008 Corsa to me and it's bent the floor pan so can't be repaired - ends up selling it for £900 as is because his sister is 20 and doesn't want to claim on her insurance ....
  8. I have a good drivers door, if you go through insurance may end up being written off. Had a similar hit and run on my red one in the rear quarter - had it done for about £400
  9. If its not dead because you have left something on whilst the engine is off, then the chances are it will die again in a few weeks - i would replace before you get stuck and you need it esp if its 3 years or older
  10. if your car is your daily - its going to be tricky experimenting - i have a 2nd car that im using to fit all my parts that ive accumulated over the last few years but not fitted as cant take my car off the road
  11. Are you haveing a gearbox with an LSD fitted ?
  12. go straight through - if you go half way and it doesnt move it will be harder afterwards as it will part tear open when you refit put a film of oil on the rubber seal as well when you refit put a film of oil on the rubber seal as well
  13. No alloy wheel shops round there?
  14. Yeah have a huge compressor - way bigger than what I need - it was enough to pressurise a spray booth and run a paint gun continuously! What blast do you use?
  15. So im looking to buy a small sand blaster - mainly to strip down wheels - not going to do lots - so don't need a full pro setup, any recommendations on sand blasters and what type of blast to use? Thanks
  16. It's only a light tap with the hammer - and the hammer is very small - if the hammer does any damage - then it's rotten and needs fixing Would you rather be in an accident and then find out your car is rotten when it completely crumples
  17. zoom out and circle where it is
  18. When you say disintegrated? Do you mean just the cover that covers the centre of the piston at the front?
  19. If you shop around you can probably get it towed fairly cheap esp if it's pre booked
  20. Honestly if it was up for £800 I wouldn't buy it, all the effort could have been spent making it concourse - he's about 10 years late with his styling - it's a very small market for a car that colour now
  21. its in our classifieds now
  22. from what my dad saw - looks like the trees caught it, then when the sun came out and dried them, the dust dried and the wind caught it and blew it off the tress onto the surrounding area - we have a lot of big trees which may explain it
  23. yep totally covered in it - its a really fine powder and quite sticky
  24. Bleed nipples have to be opened very slowly with very little effort - putting a spanner to them and going at them with normal effort and they will snap, I now open bleed nipples on all calipers before posting as had a few people snap them on recieving. Gently tap the spanner rather than pushing if that makes the sense
