  1. it does work on cars that have borderline emissions failures
  2. not all obd2 scanners can pick up early JDM codes (few gen7 members have found this)
  3. put some light grease on the runners all the way up and down, and run the window up and down 10-20 times
  4. if its just auto up thats not working then its not the motor - its not been fitted correctly, the door is bent or something else is restricting it going up
  5. Did you swap the regulator and motor at the same time - maybe your reg is doing your motors in?
  6. post up a pic so can check if its similar to the gen7 one - do you have water getting into your doors as the window motors on the celica of all gens are pretty good?
  7. I have a 2003 conversion kit with 90,000 miles going cheap if you can collect before the end of this month, conversion is no harder than swapping engine
  8. my 140 didnt like premium stuff, I found it took longer to start on it but it was significantly more responsive, tried it for a few months when the car was fairly new I know modern diesels do benefit significantly from the premium stuff
  9. If it has gone then conversion is cheapest option - currently selling at clearance price of £125. Quite obvious when it has gone, you will hear the knocking and possibly feel it pulling
  10. I might have a new one on a wheel from another car mate
  11. Happy Anniversary ams!

  12. I fitted poly bushes to my wishbones and one wishbone actually cracked - first time I've ever seen that - BUT I fitted them at 100,000 and the one cracked at 213,000 - most cars the wishbones get replaced completely before them Sort of miles. So might not be down to the bushes.
  13. I have a rear pipe for a 140, has no silencer on it goes from just before the axle, clamps on to the front pipe. Has a big end on it, after £25 plus £10 post for it
  14. Uses more fuel, as your having to use petrol to turn the engine, when it's in gear the engine is being turned automatically and doesn't need fuel. Only way you could do would be to cut the engine but then youd loose brakes after the first use and you could get your self in trouble if you needed to move quickly
  15. also the JDM gen6s came in a rare similar colour to that trd one above
  16. I like the Mazda Icy Blue Range Rover Vesuvius Orange BUT toyota do the mk1 yaris in a similar but better colour, or even better Alfa did the 156 in a pearl version of the colour For the orange I would go for the gen6 / is200 cinabar?? colour - similar but better again
  17. You probably wont find any labelled as power steering fluid in most places, Automatic transmission fluid, ATF is the same.
  18. Unless you can get the tyres removed and disposed of for free, then its not really worth the effot
  19. try and clean first - they dont die often - but recently have been seeing a lot of broken ones - but the cars are getting old now. plugs - ngk for me every time, else denso, never bosch
  20. little orange one that sort of looks like a hollow engine with a hole in, comes on when you put key on ign but turns off after you fire up. Plugs and maf by the sounds of it
  21. is the light on, on the t-sport, if not most code readers wont tell you anything unless its a pending code (doesnt stay pending for long)
  22. Depends on what you are going to do with the car, if the mileage is going to be kept low and the car concourse and standard then it's worth keeping the service history, if you are going to add 60,000 miles and keep it for 5 years then the cost versus the value of the car will go out of the window.
