  1. IF in doubt take it to a MOT station, IF they say it will fail, 2 choices. Fit normal road plate or find a tester that will allow it.
  2. As long as the plate is of LEGAL type and reflective Stick on plates are allowed, but they must be vertical. I think you'll find that if a ANPR can read them you'll get no problem
  3. That tidies up the front end. It should pass the MOT, but they might claim it's not vertical enough.
  4. Good to hear you'll hang around, shame you have to move onto a more frugal car, even though I thought the 140 was good on fuel. You'll regret selling Mario
  5. My 2 Red ones turned up today and I was surprised how powerful the magnets are. Ready for the next Oil Change.
  6. I would have thought the whole Toyota range would be the same.
  7. And the buyers name? He might not want to come here
  8. Famous you say? ummmmm, gets phone book out. Anyone heard of Amore? Yes you can Google "Amore" to find out how famous they are. http://www.amoreofficial.com/biography But I'll find someone else.
  9. You'll need at least 15mm from where the nut first catches onto the thread. I'd not be going 10mm on std studs. 5mm per side fine, but let others have an imput.
  10. Do you have 10mm of spare thread on you studs? IF not then you'll need longer studs in your hub. I think the pitch of the thread is 1.5mm, so you'll need at least 10 full rotations of the nuts NOW to be OK with 10mm of spacer and even then that will only give you 3-4 turns of thread once the spacers are on.
  11. THE Avon get's more looks and nice comments than the Gen6 does. I'm used to cars pulling out to overtake and then hold back as they have a quick gawp at the car.
  12. I normally get that, just after I've said Football is just a game. Strange thing is I accept it's just a car
  13. Looks more like a brushed past sort of scratch, I'm sure if someone really wanted to key your car they would have done a lot more damage than that. Still not nice though.
  14. NO, well I say no. But the engines are different, gearboxes are different, brakes are different.
  15. Been done about a decade ago. 3S-GTE swap is cheap enough. (and you know your way around them)
  16. Just take it for a MOT, they'll see they are new brakes. As long as they come up balanced you should be OK.
  17. There you go, just needed to give more of an incentive to release it's hold.
  18. The Pug passed it's MOT 10 days ago. Hence the reason I wanted to be there IF they did a sound test. Thomas has no problem getting pulled over, as the car was putting out a decent sized cloud behind it, but he had to burn it off. the Police Officer told him he should have done it in the front garden not out on the road. So it seems it's better to make a bank of smoke across a main road than spread it out at 50mph. Mark got pulled for aggressive driving!! Pulling onto a Roundabout near the Police HQ, threatened with 6 points. But let to go on his way as he was polite and his paperwork/car was all in order. I'll be next in my boy racer Corolla
