digs
If you needed to smarten up some springs/paint them to stop rust, what would you use ? I would have thought normal paint would flake off under movement ? What about plasti-coat/dip stuff ?

digs
Plastidip? my original thought, as would be flexible.....maybe not strong enough. lumo green springs ? errr........
dublet
If it's flexible, it won't need to be strong. Paint will crack, a flexible plastic coating is your only real option.

princy
You could do them in any colour you like if you're able to spray from a gun, just use 2k single stage with a flex additive in the paint

Insanity-74
You could paint them black with some good paint....then use some of that shrink wrap stuff that you use on electrical connections, Maplins sell long lengths of it in all sorts of diameters. Yes, which is why I suggested painting it before adding the shrink wrap. It would be no worse than powder coating which also traps moisture when it gets chipped. As for its rip, tear, pinch resistance I have no idea, try it, the. After a few months remove it to see how it has fared?
