tombrady
I've just bought one to do my arches as I've been meaning to do it for months. I may keep it and rent it out so just wondering if anyone's interested? I'm based at S80 area if that helps. If anyone has done it themselves with the proper tool how did it go? I'm also buying a heat gun too.
Trebor4460
Was thinking of going down this route myself so I can fit my 27mm spacers on the rear.

tombrady
Very good idea that, maybe even come to my house as it's got parking for about 8 cars as it's like a communal car park that's not busy. Have a day doing a few cars as I doubt it takes more than 30mins per arch once you get going. Something to think about when the weather turns itself around again

dublet
That's 'cause you can't go through corners quickly enough to wear them out.
dragon queen
You could bring it along to the next Newton event in 2014 and make some money Tom , you will be an expert by then. Thank god for the southern divide Kev

Cravo
I might let you practice on mine mate when I get it Pennies in hand of course
tombrady
Already got one person after it, granted its a mate but it should pay for its self after a few uses. I'm not touching other folks cars Cravo unless I write a disclaimer as it's too risky if there is underlying damage with filler and it cracks. Can supply the power source Tom, and flat drive if needed Have got a magnet, if that falls off will give an idea of arch strength.
yellowchinaman
Be careful if youre new to this. If you're going to practice on someone else's car you should settle the terms as to whos responsible for what. Eg what happen s if paint cracks or panel warps etc... tombrady
I'm only doing my own ray for them exact reasons, unless I make a disclaimer and if I feel confident enough to do someone else's. Hence renting it out just to help lower the cost of what it cost me for the tool
yellowchinaman
Good idea Tom. I practiced on 2 of my cars before knowing its limits and what to look out for.
