johndmorgan
Just seen an RAC product called CATACLEAN advertised in the Telegraph. It says it is a tonic for your engine, improving performance and economy, reduces emissions and results in less carbon build up. Has anyome used it and if is it worth the £25 special offer ? dublet
Snake oil. Nothing a well maintained engine needs.
si_c
is this similar to terraclean? (or whatever it is called)
Shinogi
A few people in my old car club used it when their emissions were too high, it always dropped the emissions for the MOT so the emissions part does what it says.
Askari
I looked this up on the web a few weeks ago and it got good write ups for dropping emissions before MOTs on quite a few car club sites, so I brought some. Haven't got the certificate back yet to see whether it made any difference. But I only paid £12 on Amazon so £25 really does sound like a special offer! bigjimg
I always put a bottle of it in my cars just before MOT, it certainly helps drop the emissions down. Last MOT with the celica the emissions were the lowest on a car I have seen . Same thing here for half the price,http://www.gsfcarparts.com/981aa0040
ams
it does work on cars that have borderline emissions failures
Joecard71
I've picked some up from GSF Car Parts for £12.90, I'll give it a go, lets see if it helps. You only need to add it to about 15 litres of fuel which means i don't have to fill the tank up... which is nice.
