MYK
Just passed my MOT without any problems with HIDs in Mentioned it to the MOT center and he said "basically theirs a massive grey area, we could fail them if we wanted but as long as they are lined up propperly and dont cause glare their is no issues with them"
Guest Ambermile
I like mine, should have been 4600 but they're way more blue than I was expecting tbh. Now with main beam on (which are still standard) I get a strange mix of light
Monkey Boy 1
4300k are like std bulb colour, 5000k are a bit whiter. Main problem is MOT now, I'll find out if mine pass the MOT next week. I'm not sure what I have in my Gen6 now. Bryan, do you have them in both Hi & Low beam, or just Low ?
BenMMellor
I've got 4300k in both hi and lo beam - never had any issues come MOT in the past. We'll see what happens on the 29th May for the next one!
Old Red Celica
I only have them in Dipped (low) beam, I do have a set for mains sitting in the shed.
geraintthomas
They're perfectly legal. HIDs should never be worse than halogen. Check my pinned HID thread in the Gen 7 section for info on temps, colours, fittings, legality, etc.
