Akuma77
Obviously i know my tsport isnt one of the best looking cosmetically outside with the dents etc in it from a previous owner GRR but today i washed the car and thought id get round to polish the car as ive not managed to do it . So i got the meguilars compound stuff out but realised id ran out of wax and as i wanted to make the car shiney for the japfest event id get some autoglym high definatition wax before that but it looks like i have to get quite a lot of scratches from the rear bumper so what the stuff to get guys and where from and how much... lta
depends on the scratches really, how deep they are etc. megs compound and a rotary polisher, or t cut and a rotary, if you just want to fill 'em then get a colour charged wax and layer it on. InsolentMinx
Meguires Scratch-X. it's not quite as abrasive as t-cut i don't think, but it's good for getting scratches & some swirls out.

Akuma77
myk , ive heard that g3 is pretty good , i dont suppose many people on here use autogleam high definition wax do they ? oh heres a pic of the rear bumper : they look fairly feint scratches so maybe the scratch stuff myk or insolent mminx recommended would do the work Edited March 15, 2013 by celica1977
MYK
I posted this in another thread, but, will post again here. I took mine to a professional detailer and had this done but for little bits like that it should be manageble at home G3 is what I mainly use if I notice a mark and it is really good stuff - i love it (this was done by a local detailer). It was my last celica but yeah the guy did a good job and got the whole car really nice for under £100 under £100 is good price. I imagine it took a few hours work, so not too unreasonable. ah yes... could be bushes... I only said "rubbing gravel into it" as my dad told me at the weekend that when I was really young I saw him washing the car, so i picked up some gravel from the drive and 'helped' him thankfully it didn't do much damage
MYK
Oh how times have changed! haha. Yeah he spent a full day on it. The roof was REALLY impressive on it! Edited March 15, 2013 by MYK
Akuma77
yep as i said unfortunately my tsport wasnt looked after from the outside (interior is mint and no bad bits whatsover but with dents ,big dent in the drivers door the previous owner reconed one of the females shut the door with her stiletto or knee causing the biggish dent and all the other dents must of been her incompetance of driving lol and the scratches and it looks like its been touched up a bit but no damages thankgod lol. Im pretty sure between the two compounds will work as the scratches dont look too deep. Edited March 15, 2013 by celica1977

Akuma77
that looks a good polish , have you guys used the autogleem hd wax? i dont know if that takes scratches out but i know a few years ago i know when i had my old v6 prepped for a few car shows i always used to use 3 stage meguilars , paint cleaner/polish resin and then carnuba wax followed by tech wax mind you because of the red only being a base coat it used to take six hours just to polish the car (without all the other detailing lol)
ams
careful with g3 - its strong professional stuff and not as forgiving as t-cut
