cant make my mind up about my seats

Recommended Posts

Ive dine the gen 7 into 6. Now I've sold them and got red Cobra sidewinders.

Now im in two halve.

Though I love the bucket seats, theyre not as comfortable as the 7 stock seats.

Also it pisses me off I dont have a leaver for quick recline and I have to manually wind the down and up for guests.

Guess thats why theyre called side winders.

So my ddilemma is I want bucket seats but want practicalit.

Is it possible?

Before someone suggests Recarros, No!

Personally I think they're the most overrated stock seats around and through out all the models theyre all basically the same.

I want something a bit more wow but cant find anything.

I like the Bride Cugas oveer the Gias because they're more comfortable and also seen some very sexy monsino S but all manual wind down.

Any suggestions cos im border line wanting to rid my Cobras.

Cobra seats wether missano's / sidewinders / daytonas came in both manual recline and with a tilt lever.

Reason i sold Erins daytonas were because they were manual winders.

Id just have the rear seats for extra luggage space and fit non recliners - as i have with mine as im not letting anyone in back unless they are small / slim enough to get past the seat backs and also stops fat people getting a lift

Whilst i agree with the regular recaro speed range of seats these ones are lovely - try and find some out of a wrecked clio / audi / focus rs

Weird, mine fitted in the green car definitely have both. They both have the manual winder adjustment on each side and a full length metal bar running under the rear of the seat base that allows for the seat upright to be dropped forward instantly. :/

Like the recaros in the pics from the Escort RS turbo the cobra seats with a tilt lever will also have a winder but cobra does versions of its seats for cars with 4 doors and no real need for a tilt lever.

Seems silly to me as its making life harder by producing 2 different seat versions.

Shame there isnt 2 of these as they are stunning

As has already been said, there should be a metal bar behind the seat base that runs the full width of the seat. Pull that, and your seat backs tilt forward. To the best of my knowledge, all Cobra seats are fitted with this mechanism.

I have put subaru bucket seats in my gen 7, really comfy and they were out of a 3 door so do tilt forward to allow passenger in the rear! Probaby

Not as comfy as the standard seats are but not far off and they are incredibly supportive

And look awesome with the harnesses in!
