auto celicas

Recommended Posts

Hi guys just wondering if any of you have got experience with these as there is a chance ( due to health issues ) that i may have to sell my celica ( which i dont really want to do :( ) but i want to stick to the gen6 . firstly i have no idea what the value is of my car any one got a rough idea ? and what sort of cost it is to buy an auto gen6 money is really tight so a swap would be good if the value is about the same . so please can anybody give me any help :)

auto`s fetch about 200 quid less than there manual brothers , so a nice car which is in good nick and has been looked after is worth say 1200-1500 on a stirrer and a grand with an auto , selling yours should release a couple of hundred quid , you may even be able to swop it as people desire a manual more than autos ?

Dare I say a Gen7 Triptronic auto? these are import models but my understanding is you have shift buttons on the steering wheel so you would be able to shift up and down the box without having a clutch.

A lad who works in the office at my place had/has an auto celica, not sure if he managed to sell it or not but he has been driving his skyline since that came back from scooby clinic.

That was an import and only had 40something km on the clocks

Celica Auto boxes are great, as are the MR2 ones! Don't bother converting, WAY more effort than it's worth. You can get good auto celicas for pennies these days.

http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1859174.htm - £695

Whatever it is that's wrong I hope it gets better and you can stick with your manual :) But if not...don't worry about it, loadsa good auto boxed Celicas about, was tempted myself due to my commute being stop-start all the way to work...but couldn't live without the fun of gears

Also, if you stick details of yours up like age, mileage and service history...we can help you get a realistic idea on value for you!
