Steve92Blade Posted April 30, 2011 Report Share Posted April 30, 2011 Got my first 'acknowledgement' flash off a fellow Celica owner in Derby yesterday, and a few weeks ago another Celica pulled up on my left side (way before the traffic lights) and shouted out his window 'Nice car m8' ... this has never happened with ANY other car I've ever owned ... only ever had this sort of acknowledgement on motorcycles ... cant wait to get my CCUK window stickers (hint, hint lol) so I feel even more part of the club. incidently are the stickers all white or black n red as is the logo?, cos that would mach the colour scheme of the car :-) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But if you want a particular colour scheme Mook (corp name Skewer) is the only Authorised person to use the Club Logo to make Personalised Stickers. All my previous sports cars - Triumph Spitfire, Triumph TR4, Triumph TR3A, Triumph TR6, MGA 1600 always flashed, and bikers give a nod of tyhe head to all, but Celicas don't do it. I always flash and/or wave, but in 3 years of owning Celicas I've yet to have one return. I don't tend to flash lights incase it gets taken as a police/camera warning, but I'll generally nod/wave to other Celica owners incase it ends up being a club member Also I just today realised there's another Gen 7 on my road, but I've never seen it move once. But ever since owning my celica I've never had so many compliment on my car. From the kids in my street always wanting to help wash the car when I'm washing it (this neve happened when I had my clio lol) to the ammount of head turners I've had, I love the tone of our engines. they stand out alot and cause alot of ppl to look round. And I have no aftermarket exhaust or anything, just a beasty 140 vvti! Ever since getting my kit on I've noticed more n more people checking the car out, specially other celica drivers. One guy went round a round about looking at my car instead of the road... yes mate, that be a greddy front lip! But I must admit, I drive round town every day and I'm dissapointed I've not spotted Liam in his 'GREEN' Gen 7, he only lives 2 miles from me IF THAT lol. but I'm yet to see his rare island green celica on the roads. you will get a nod, flash, thumbs up, and maybe a toot of the horn haha! and I dont know if its because of my stelth front, with greddy lip to add aggression but ppl seems to move out my way in the fast lane, even when I'm happily just driving behind them following traffic, leaving plenty of space lol.... are they intimidated by my cars looks? muhaha!
