  1. Yo Wayne, I've just looked up the kerb weight of the cupra and it comes in at 1450kg, compared to 1145kg for the T-sport. So because you're a bit lardy LOL when you work out bhp per ton, you come in at 206.9bhp and I come in at 205.2bhp so I think that means when we get together later this year it could be fun
  2. I think you should save an extra £500 add it to the £1000, flog your car and get a 190/T sport. Then lower the 190 with the stuff you have bought Always potential for the supercharger in the future then
  3. Cheers mate, but this is my second set as I swapped them 5 years ago for some from Amazon USA. As I never put new threadlock on them they should come off ok
  4. I'll let you know how I get on with them, you'll hopefully see them in Feb when I come over. I'm off the for a week from sat 16th Feb
  5. Nice one Paul, new boot struts for me from Kent springs:
  6. If you go for a 140 MAKE SURE its the facelift post 2003 model. Any model 190 is fine as long as lift works, just change the lift bolts as soon as you buy it, they only cost £2 and take 40 min to fit.
  7. I got it from amazon, but it wasn't that link above. Although it looks like the same jack, and I think it Is, I can't find the original amazon link sorry pal. I'll get some details off of it when I'm in the garage.
  8. Here is a link to one similar to the one I got from the missus for Christmas http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00647X5X2/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1357511010&sr=8-9π=SL75 and here it is on the living room floor It lifts 2.25 Ton, its low profile having a height of only 8cm I can get it under the car on coilovers. I used to have to drive on bits of wood before I could get my old jack under. It also has LED uplights so you can see where you are placing it and the best bit is the handle doubles up as wheel brace and the jack comes with a range of sockets clipped to the side to fit most wheel nut sizes. I've used it already and was very impressed.
  9. Have you got a direct link for the cig lighter led please.
  10. Hey Tim, I've just ordered some of your 5w40 Titan Fuchs and a K&N oil filter. Can you confirm that all gen 7 celica oil filtrs are the same from 2000 onwards as only one was listed for the gen 7 celica, when there are two engine options; the 140 vvti and the 190 vvtLi.
  11. Excellent, thats good news. Its also one of the ways I justified the Greddy to myself as I only live about 1-2 miles from work. By the way Ive been keeping a fuel log if you're still interested in following your original plans. Driving sensibly, mostly motorways will get you around 25mpg, mixed driving and booting it here and there gets you more like 21mpg.
  12. Nice one Keef, but I thought you were selling up???
  13. David, I think carb cleaner has some very harsh cleaning agents in it. I used this stuff as its designed for "cleaning ignition components and other precision parts" http://www.halfords....tegoryId_255223 Have a look at the reviews too, at least two of them refer to cleaning a MAF sensor with good results
  14. Good luck David, don't forget to clean your MAF and fit a new MAF o-ring.
  15. 2.25ton low profile racing jack with LEDS As I'm sick of driving my car and every other lowered mates cars onto blocks begore jacking it up! I even had to do so for my neighbours 1970 VW Type 3 Notchback, although it does have a sticker on the back saying "praise the lowered" so you probably understand why
  16. lol you've got to decide on a new car first!
  17. Spot only does flocking when it suits him though, he picks and chooses the time of year to offer his services. I used a place in leeds to get my A pillars done in black 1mm flock. Alll parts really have to be removed from the car for flocking. My guy charged £15 for a normal A pillar and £20 for one with a triple gauge pod in it. He did a very good job though. I would buy a second hand dash from AMS, get it flocked then just swap your old one out. That way you dont have to worry about the car being off of the road. No idea what a dash would cost, maybe £100+ but they can have it done in 48 hours no probs.
  18. Wilco Motor Spares quoted me £10 for the rear one on my T sport.
  19. TOM ive got an old 28inch fat box of a TV in the spare room, you could of had that then that £380 could have gone in the charger fund
  20. Well done mate, any news on the turbo?
  21. Yeah, Bumblebee and I have had a few orders from the states. My last order was $2500 as it was a group order and customs/import charges were 22% of the cost of the parts. Not including delivery.
  22. The rear droplinks dont need to be removed, so whichever garage did that they made loads of work for themselves! Its the front droplinks that need to be removed and often have to be ground off.
  23. That's a vicious lie! I distinctly remember lifting them out of my boot, walking 5m and putting them in Toms boot
  24. Hammerite smooth is spot on, I've used it on calipers for years and never had any probs.
