  1. Popped that up for you. The thing that's confusing me is you mention 90520-26028 is square in shape, surely it should be round? It's the same part number as the circlip that holds the outer CVs on the MK2 Tubby drive shafts and that's def round.
  2. Posted for ya bud. Would you be able to measure the diameter of the groove for reference?
  3. No worries. You will need some bolts to attach the engine to the stand as well, gearbox to engine bolts are the best bet. I imagine the beaker guys will have buckets of em.
  4. Bloody hell I'm glad I didn't break the snap rings when I changed the outer CVs on my MR2. Although I'm sure at least one of the guys on Twobrutal will have broken one, we swap the outer CVs so the Mk2 turbo shaft will plug straight into the Mk1 MR2 hubs. Shall I ask over there for you or will it be a different snap ring?
  5. That'd do fine, I have the Clarke version and had my 3.0 V6 attached to it.
  6. On Toyo DIY there's a part number for 'RING, SNAP (FOR REAR AXLE SHAFT LH)' 90521-79002. Same part number for the right hand one.
  7. Have you had a look on www.toyodiy.com? I've had a look at the MR2 and they list the snap ring seperately, I can't imagine them not supplying it seperately it's pretty much a consumable item. I reckon they didn't look properly.
  8. We have the same problems with our works vehicle, it seems to have some kind of cloaking device which shields the bright orange and white reflective stickers down the sides and the lights on the roof. Plus the fact it's a friggin Hilux.
  9. In my first Celica I found a leather case under the seat with a nice set of brass scales and a scattering of a strange green herbal material. Can't think what that was used for.
  10. Be very careful when removing the rear calipers, the bolts shear quite easily if they are seized in with rust.
  11. I found 3 different Japanese coins totalling 106 Yen, I left 2 of the coins in the ashtray and the one with the hole in the middle is on my keyring now.
  12. I'm slowly wearing down the Gen 6 owners in Gosport, there are a couple of Black Gen 6s and a couple of Blue/Purple ones and I give them a flash and/or a wave every time I see them. They WILL be assimilated resistance is futile. Lol
  13. Have you considered getting the starter motor reconditioned by an auto electrician?
  14. Holy crap, that's pretty mullered, but a testiment to our tough old Toyotas.
  15. A nice shiny set of Magnecor KV85s, dizzy cap tomorrow and the old tart will be running again. Woot! Yay! Cap and rotor arm are now sat on my desk.
  16. The relay should be in the engine fuse box. If you look in the lid there will be a plan of the fuse/relay layout. I'm not 100% on what it will be labled with, I'll go and have a look in the Gen 6. Back in a mo. Scuse the blurryness it's cold out. It's the blue one, bottom right, labeled ST
  17. Have you cleaned up the earthing points on the engine? This can often be an overlooked cause of electrical wierdness.
  18. A relay is a magnetically operated switch, with the magnetic force being generated by an electrical current through a coil which pulls the switch closed. The coils may degrade so the force does not keep the switch closed very well or the contacts on the switch may get corroded so not make a very good circuit. The switches can also get sticky and stiff.
  19. Lol That is an epic MR2, twin jet engines. There are vids of it on youtube on the salt flats in the USA. There was a tri turbo jet Mk1 MR2 built over there as well. That outcome really sucks Simon, they should have just binned the whole thing, total waste of time.
  20. They only cost me about £6 a set so they may as well be replaced.
  21. New NGK coppers every service for me, so every 6k/6 months.
  22. I used EBC Ultimax on my ST182 and now have them on my ST202, never had any issues apart from the bloody dust, good bite from cold. I have EBC greens on the HI Spec 4 pot fronts on my MR2, they're pretty damn good but then that's probably down to the big ol' calipers as well. Pagids are fantastic, they used to do 'fast road pads' which were relatively inexpensive but I think they've stopped making them.
  23. I just used a bit of black insulation tape.
