  1. Another mot pass today....advisory on all brake hard lines tho.might hammerite them for now
  2. Snow socks really help on the missus mx5, plus the 3 bags of sand in the boot to get a bit more weight on the drive wheels
  3. For me I wanna enjoy the day and know that if I do get it a bit wrong I'm not gonna end up in a barrier or on the roof. I always look for tracks which ain't too tight and have plenty of run off. From chatting to a few people and YouTube vids I'd go for the following... Blyton Woodbridge (airfield so they just layout a track, not sure I'd fancy it myself but it meant to be great for a 1st go, when ever I look at the vids on YouTube I can never work out where the bloody track meant to go lol) Snetterton. Donnington Croft. Rockingham ( few peeps say its a engine blower tho)
  4. I'd say no for a 1st time track day mate, id feel very intimedated by the very rough terrain off the Tarmac but that's just be I'd do a proper track mate with plenty of run off and a wide road etc as if you do get a bit ambitious your not gonna get stuck in a ditch I did my 1st track days this year at Snetterton and Blyton Park and I really enjoyed both
  5. Very unlikely to be rust over such a large area...are there any signs of a previous repair on these areas?
  6. I think a break/crack there is fairly common on these mate, I was gonna buy one of ams that also had a repair in exact same place and seen a few mentions about it! Get a weld done on it, wouldn't be too expensive I don't t think
  7. Report the fucker to the police and demand they investigate it, say you have a eye witness etc! I hate low life's like this! Exactly the same happened to me a few weeks back and I had no note, no witnesses or CCTV so left with a nice £350 bodyshop bill because I love my car and can't leave it with damage!
  8. All about the wear and tear Liam...ive heard of 3 year old cars failing becuase of brakes/tyres etc mines failed the last 2! Dodgy lock on the rear seat and headlights
  9. I'm screwed I test at 95db @5200 on track days! I have a bung tho that does quite it done a fair bit tho, I might get them to test both when I go to blyton!
  10. I had a a3 diesel as a hire car while my gen 7 was being repaired...so dull to drive compared to the celica but each to their own!
  11. From the info on this great forum....5w30 or 5w40 if you like the red line or track! I went for some 5w40 fully syn fuchs from opieoils as was on offer. Heard good stuff about the Fuchs Titan race and the gulf competition if u fancy paying a bit more. K&n filter worth getting just for the fact it has a nut on the bottom so easy on and off and no messing around with a strap tool.
  12. I wouldn't worry bout it as long as car runs well and no cels! I guess oil does smell more pungent once it warm etc
  13. I took my rocker cover off the other day and thought it smelt a bit petroleumy to be honest, car runs fine tho. Im doing a oil change soon so I might let the old stuff stand for a bit and see
  14. Happy Anniversary jasonskyring!

  15. Had the rainsports 2 on for a day now and impressed! plenty of grip in dry/warm conditions I drove it hard for a few miles and felt loads more confident than the ones I replaced!

  17. I have a WON kit available if ur interested! Everything u Need to get going!
  18. I think you should have investigated the problem a bit more! Prob a very easy fix if investigated! Toyota should be able to find out the issue here! Very sad times!
