You never know who you are talking to some times. We went food shopping today and as I pulled into the carpark of our local small supermarket, Stans, I spotted this Gen5 parked up. I told Sian that I'd see her inside because I wanted to take a couple of pictures. As I did that, the owner turned up and was very friendly and happy to talk. I did of course ask him to join CCUK (as you do). He said he had spoken to a few Gen5 owners up at the Ponderosa a few years back. Sounds like he bumped into a Gen5 North Wales weekend. Anyway, we talked for a bit and he mentioned that he was a race driver of a Lotus Elise. I neglected to ask him his name When I got home I googled and googled doing my best Sherlock Holmes and after zooming in on the photo I got a clue to follow. The owner is Danny Holland and his story is incredible. He was a Welsh Guard and was seriously injured by an IED in Helmand, Afghanistan. He had always loved motorsport and the Army introduced a karting activity for injured servicemen. He jumped at the chance and ended up racing for the team. He has progressed now and is driving a Lotus Elise competitively. He has recovered from PTSD, shrapnel and serious brain injuries along with the loss of hearing in one ear. This guy is something else and such a nice bloke to stand and talk to an old fart like me. Check him out, "Danny Holland Racing" on FB and his story here http://www.motorsport-wales.co.uk/danny-holland-injured-welsh-guard-to-racing-driver/ Don't click the links at the bottom of the page, they take you to weird places!

Ring Paul at TCB it is then

Are genuine Toyota back boxes still available? I can't see anything on TCB or GT4-Play websites. I know that TCB don't list everything on the website and you need to ring Paul but does anyone know if they are available still?

What you talking about you fools? My 205 in standard trim now puts out 310bhp with new plugs, oil and air filter. And the new radiator added at least 5bhp! -

I'm going to buy a folding garage. One of those like an old-fashioned pram cover. I can't cope with watching my baby getting battered by weather and desert debris anymore -

Got her started again after letting the battery run flat DOH! Had to do the immobiliser reset that Jeffers1 showed me when I first got her two years ago. Took her for a lively drive of about 60 miles in the glorious sunshine. -
Without a doubt, one of the strangest threads I've ever encountered here........

Haven't used it yet. I've been using a "magical brew" from my local detailer, Wizards of detailing/ ceramic pro north wales in Wrexham.

Dying a bit Let's say that the challenge set in May has not been met and the setter has not been back. Get radical and brave and set a one week limit, delete the lot, or allow a dead horse to be dragged around forever

I don't normally get a Christmas present that is relevant but my love for the Celica has obviously shone through this year and I'm pleased to say that Christmas has been a success. Presents from my wife and younger daughter
