  1. Same bike as I owned 22 years ago. Yamaha Fazer 1000, the one with the R1 engine, so yes, quite stupidly quick mate
  2. Don't do it . I'm trying to make a clean break, like an amicable divorce, my allegiance has been transferred
  3. I have to confess that I have been seduced by the dark side and have bought a motorcycle in order to recapture my youth . L975 EPB has moved on to a new home, but a home that I know will take even better care of her. I've had fun with the Celica over the last seven years but I've gone back to my first love before I get too old to do it . The last pic of my baby from me.
  4. That's cool! I've got the Gen6 version that came with my car that was featured.
  5. I've still got the 2020 club calendar on show in the "little boy's room" at home.
  6. Alternator and new battery fitted. Just needs a damned good clean before the Tatton Park show next Sunday.
  7. Me? Polish under the bonnet? You've gotta be kidding
  8. E10 is going nowhere near my Celica, Shell V Power all the way . Alternator is back all shiny and gorgeous. Just got to get it back on now
  9. I forgot to update you. Running nicely and got her over for a fresh MOT. She passed and then the alternator expired, it's an ex alternator . Anyway, local company does alternator refurbishing so I took it up there after bleeding all over the engine bay taking the bugger off with skinned fingers. Needs a new regulator and rectifier and rewind. £75, what a bargain.
  10. Believe me it's going to get one
  11. Are these cars engineered to drive us nuts????? Checked for fault codes but nothing there then gave the key another turn and she fired up instantly!!!!! Ran like a Swiss watch for 30mins, turned her off and tried again, instant start once more. Let's see what tomorrow brings
  12. Six months old petrol should be okay, hopefully
  13. Thanks Chris, I'll try to get the paper clip out over the weekend
  14. Just found a YouTube video. Know where it is now
  15. Never had the ECU out. I've heard that it's in the passenger footwell behind the glove box. There's a white plastic box under there. Is the ECU in that?
  16. My ST205 has stood for nearly six months over the winter. The battery had been playing silly beggars for quite a while before so I bought a new one to give myself the best chance. New battery fitted and turning the key, engine turning over nice and quickly but no attempt to fire at all. I tried several times but no luck. After leaving it for half an hour she actually fired up. She ran a bit lumpy then smoothed out and I let it run for about half an hour. Two days later I'm booked in for an MOT so I go out and try to start her up. Cranking nicely again but no attempt to fire at all. After several cranking sessions, nothing. I got on my hands and knees at the back of the car but no smell of petrol from the exhaust. I'm not a mechanic and have no experience of mechanical stuff on the car but my logic says that the exhaust should stink of fuel after cranking so many times. Am I completely off the target by thinking that my fuel pump may be stuffed? Yes, there is fuel in the car.
  17. I hope you have managed to get yourself sorted?
  18. You could try Junction Wheelworx in Llandudno Junction. Phone number 07375 542462. Address: 15 Tremarl Industrial estate, Llandudno Junction LL31 9PW.
  19. Celica versatility. It was nice to take a drive out into Shropshire today and feel the nostalgia of driving through the villages at 30mph now that all around me is 20mph
  20. Had a nice surprise visit from Sheila and John this morning as they were making their way home from the CCUK Snowdonia weekend. Good to see you both. Also good to see a few more Celicas here than normal. Cars looking good.
  21. Tatton Park Classics, my first "proper" car show of this year. Great weekend and loads of stuff to see. There with TEC.
