  1. I must admit I never even considered it an issue when either driving or buying a car when my kids were little, more important then was the number of cubby holes to keep baby stuff in, whether I could get the pram in the boot and ease of getting the child seats in. Both mine are grown up now and in all the years we carried them in cars including some old Porsches we never had an accident that caused the windows to break.
  2. Osram Nightbreaker Ultimates for the dipped beam, fitted last night much improved.
  3. Anthracite, Bronze reminds me of Honda's
  4. One positive so far from this topic is, not one hairdresser as of yet, that's one for the Gen5/6 boys to consider (now watch them come out of the woodwork)
  5. Would agree the Celica is in reality a pretty coupe, with room for four and luggage, moderately quick with good handling for front wheel drive. Nice to drive but unfortunately quite popular so not so rare, but after all it was only a mass produced coupe from Toyota. Not knocking it just saying what I feel, having said that I do like it and the way it makes you feel and it took me 9 months to decide what to replace my Porsches with and the choice was the Celica so it must do something for me that the other options didn't. Think for me it was the reasonable performance coupled to lightweight, pretty looks and it being a coupe that sold it to me, don't mind modifications if that's your thing but for me all I want is for it to be a little better than Toyota intended, so just had it lowered and will fit spacers, changed the head unit and gear knob but for me that's probably it other than keep it clean and tidy. Generally driven gently with the occasional use of lift but for me if I want to go quick I will take the bike out. Oh and just to fit the demographic (or not) 53 years old (last 14 years a Porsche owner) numerous hot hatches up to mid 30s with a mk1 MR2 thrown in for fun, senior management position of a major global engineering and consultancy company working in Information Risk and Compliance
  6. Tax will not be transferable so irrelevant really, other than that cheap enough to run through the Winter!
  7. Second that mine arrived yesterday as well.
  8. Replacement drop links to be fitted next week when my lowering springs go on
  9. Just buy the plain ones and give the hub part of the disc a coat of high temp paint before you fit them, ten you can choose what colour you want as for hoses I would go for number 18 which looks like a standard stainless finish but each to their own, discs are so small and calipers not especially exciting so I just did mine black more for protection than to stand out (black engine enamel I had in the garage). If they were proper 4/6 pot calipers and decent discs that would be a different matter.
  10. My Eibach lowering springs arrived yesterday, ordered last week from Amazon (MW Motorsports in Germany was the supplier) £152 plus £19 P&P arrived in less than a week and cheapest I have found anywhere. Hopefully get them fitted this weekend and then my spacers when they arrive!
  11. What I had not realized when buying the stickers from Skewer was that you could get different colours, I just bought what I thought were standard TS stickers, however someone on here put me right and to be honest it is obvious. The standard center cap stickers on a TS should have a silver T and silver lettering (same as the rear badge) I ordered without checking and got white T and white lettering, now I have no problems and think they look spot on but if you want originality then please check before you order. The Skewer items were spot on though really great quality just be careful when cutting them out and make sure you clean up the old center caps really well and use plenty on thin coats of lacquer to cover them.
  12. I would have thought those threaded rods replaced two of the coil bolts and then the cover fixes to them, seen one of those fitted and it is a really nice fit to the cam cover, I actually think it fits better than the aftermarket ones from the US that cost a fortune.
  13. Unfortunately you can't get them anymore I believe, if you are missing them completely you may have to buy generic replacements and then get some stickers from here to fit on. If you already have the centers then again you can get stickers from this club for around £9 for five and refurbish your existing ones.
  14. Arrived while I was out of the country my club stickers and club card. Washed the car last evening cleaned and dried the window and tried to fit my sticker, good job I only tried one side as the lettering would not stick to the glass even though it was dry and clean, well one letter did the rest came off on the backing tape, so now it says www.celica- lub.co.uk and the only letter that stuck was the c from club. put the sticker back on the paper and decided a waste of time and breath so gave up after a few attempts. Must have been doing it wrong but can't for the life of me see how hard it could be to fit some stickers and yes I have seen the guide on this and followed it although the pictures no longer are linked I could work out the process from the words. Car can remain anonymous as now only have one sticker unused and one useless one.
  15. Yes I thought I had the wrong mats in mine as the holes were a long way off but obviously not.
  16. Well the good news is they are still holding in place and haven't snapped so well worth the £2 might even get another pair for spares.
  17. Ebay link £2.00 free postage and really good fit with standard mats and they haven't snapped yet, mind you only driven 10 miles to work so plenty of time yet. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121174529280?_trksid=p2060778.m2749.l2648&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  18. Arrived today £2 from ebay replacement car mat fixings to replace the bits of bent wire the previous owner thought was OK.
  19. Forgot to add the scan of the parts diagram he gave me quite useful for those bits you can't describe correctly. Part to hold the grill in place and under tray to the splitter was 90109-06003 (4off)
  20. Not in the post but equally surprising, called into my local Toyota parts department on Saturday and asked if they had the four steel clips that hold the front splitter to the under tray and also mount the lower grill, surprise yes the guy knew what I was on about, gave me a print out of the parts listing for bumper arrangement and had them on the shelf (well the three I needed anyway) £4.10.
