  10. very true so if my car was imported with lets say for example a hks silent exhaust running at 102db at 3/4 revs and i have the sva does this mean il be able to hold up 2 fingers when i get pulled by the police ?? if this is the case then all those imported cars that have come into the country with said certificates with these exhausts fitted are going to be absolutely fine now wouldnt that be a handy little loophole
  11. hehe and in accordance that sole same thing applies to any and all 4x4 vehicles which are predominantly known as a tractor but try telling that to a range rover vogue driver
  12. i dont think its a choice of which car to keep its more about what you want to use it for if you want to drive to and from work take the mrs out and do the trip to the shops then its obvious to keep the standard green one if you really want to get into track time circuit racing and sprints then keep the silver one unfortunately there is no compromise between the 2 because you will always be wanting less in the car if your racing because you will always want that extra edge but for the comforts you will always want more there is no one without the other so if the option isnt there to keep both then the choice boils down to your use
  13. hmmmm thats a bugger as i understand it the subframe for the gen6 superstrut takes the gen6 macphearson swingarm easily and lines up must be that thing where when they made the gen7 super strut they made mild changes so as not to intercahnge between the gen6 and gen7 super strut i would suspect if the mr2 have fitted it without issue then the celica will be just as easy same engine after all just that its in the front of the car instead of the rear
  14. curborough is ok you dont get massive speed up on the track and its fine for a gt4 done it just the once but had a cracking day there with other gt4's there is one section that they tend to close off which is a longer straightish section they do this so that you dont have the opportunity to get too much speed up and trash your car theres enough run off to avoid crunching your car into anything but as its your first outing id suspect you wont be pushing it massively at the start anyway just take it steady and learn
  15. many thanks and as much info as possible main bits for wishbones are the spacing between the fixings onto the subframe and then the length of the wishbone at a guess to then get the other info of where the end sits with the ball joint for the hub to sit on will be quite hard to ascertain without putting them ontop of each other to visually see the hole spacing on the hubs would be very handy for the suspension strut this would help to ascertain as to whether gen7 suspension can be fitted to gen 6 and visa versa but as to getting the info of if they create camber in a positive or negative could also be difficult without them being side by side id love to be sat with the 3 versions of gen 6 and gen 7 with macphearson and superstrut to just spend the day swapping stuff around to see what fits and lines up but i dont have the space the funds or the cars to have them all sat there something else that would be greatful to know is about the gen 6 hubs and gen 7 hubs in that are there any differences between the gen 6 whether its off a 1.8l or 2.0l version and the sge and afe engines same goes on the gen7's is there any differences between the 140bhp and 190 bhp versions or can they all just be swapped between the relevant generations without issue thanks in advance
