  4. Autosol does not work lol I tried it and it started to take the chrome off and expose the plastic beneath so don't use autosol!
  5. Yeah dpends what grade you use. A fine one will polish it. Maybe try autosol metal polish?
  6. Happy Anniversary Gstraw!

  7. lol! oh dear that was an epic auto correction fail! I mean with all the modofications, it would be useless. For example it says top of brake fluid and gear box oil, However ive upgraded them so I really dont fancy some Dot4 brake fluid mised in with my Dot 5.1! Grey Racer, your place would seem interesting. I can probably do most things myself like brake fluid, gearbox oil, engine oil but its the replacement of belts etc that i wouldnt know how to do so thought I would ask what places people use. cheers
  8. As per the title- does anyone service their car at Toyota? With all the modifications I've done it would seem useless. Your paying £150 for an oil change I reckon! Where else do people go? Any good mod friendly garages in Scotland? I take it the best thing to do is go through the Toyota service manual and see what they would do? My cars on 40k miles now and I was wondering what needs done? It's. 2006 GT Thanks
  9. Devious, do you powdercoat calipers? PM me a quote if you do
  10. Had a scary moment a few days ago when I pulled out hard into a main road and redlined it then went to next gear and realised that the throttle was fully stuck open! Very scary indeed. I had to pull to the side, clutch in and just switch the car off. I thi k what happened was those extra bits you have hanging around when you remove the stock air box and put in a SRI got caught behind the throttle cable when I turned the corner!
  11. I also want to powdercoat my AP racing calipers. They don't loo as red and shinny anymore
  12. So any of the eBay readers will work? Can people maybe out up a link to the one that looks like the one yu have? They are ranging between £25-£150 Thanks
  13. Thanks for the replies Guys Hmm, I wonder if the cheaper wifi transmitter from eBay would also give the full range of data with the dash commander app. Anyone tried this combo? Do you guys find it useful or is it just more of a gimmick that you get over pretty quickly?
  14. Hey I was wanting a wifi obd2 transmitter but found that they were quite expensive (around £50 off ebay) so decided against it. Since though, they have come down in price quite a bit and are around £25 which aint bad considering a normal hand held unit is approx £17. Now im assuming you can check and delete EML codes from the phone apps right? So, what wifi transmitters do people have, and what app are you using? (ive heard or Rev for iphone but wondering if there are others?) im aware that android users can use a bluetooth transmiter and an app called 'torque' but thats not compatible with iphone so this is an iPhone only thread furthermore, once the wifi connector is plugged in, can laptops also connect to the cars new wifi and obtain data? if so what apps do I need? thanks in advance! any links you can post would be much appreciated and we can perhaps eventually make this thread a sticky for other users considering the same route
  15. I like 1 Think set 6 looks minging! Lol
  16. Defo a clearcoat! Otherwise it will all chip off like tip ex. As for the car with no clear coat I've never heard of that before. It may be since the previous owner polished the car so much and removed it all?
  17. Claim off the council! No joke! There should not be puddles that deep. It means their road is wonky or it means that their drains are full of shit so water is not draining away. Both are responsibility of tw council to fix. Send a claim in buddy
  18. Do I not want the permanent one though for extra protection? I probably won't need to take the studs out though. I'm worried incase when I remove the wheel nuts, the studs might come loose if they are not secured permanently?
  19. Hey I was wondering what loctite is required to glue the studs into the spacers? ive got the wheel off and about to go to halfords to buy some right now so a fast reply would be very much appreciated! thanks!
  20. Carrick alloys in prestwick do it and it's included in the price of powder coating your alloys -£50 a wheel I think. They strip the tyre, straighten it if it needs done, powdercoat it then put the tyres back on again
  21. I think it looks well cool! Especially since we would only have 1 on each side and a long 'celica' would look rather cool!
  22. Edwardio, can you sort out a GB on these sensors?
  23. Not sure why headlights you have but I would strongly recommend 4300k hid kit-I have the 55W but alignment needs to be spot on so you don't blind anyone.
  24. Oh dear- take it they don't get many imports though. On a side note, where did you guys stay? Was it good for honeymoon? Me and the misses are looking to go this August for our 1st year anniversary. PM if ou don't want me spamming your thread
