  5. I hope everyone knows that all trucks & Jumbo Jets use retreads! I looked into retreads a while ago. They must meet the QC standards & tests of normal tyres, however there is still that worry of them bad. They won't perform as well as new tyres, but should perform close, though it's better to be safe than sorry & buy new.
  6. Bad news this. Yep rads are prone to fail on these. Been there done that & know plenty of others have. As for the O2 sensors, yep it is advised by many in the industry Bosch, febi & others that they should be changed between 60k-80k as said above. Basically the sensor degrades or ages if you prefer over time due to the environment that it lives in.
  7. Sorry you sold the 190. My other half has an 04 Ibiza & that isn't in my opinion than my Gen7, plus its had things replaced where mine hasn't & it has less mileage.
  8. The Nightbreaker Plus, are meant to have a longer life. The brighter the bulb the shorter the life, so those +X% bulbs won't last as long as a standard bulb.
  9. Sadly no as I don't think I'd be allowed as we don't sell direct to the public. I can ask if its possible.
  10. Universal fits are fine, but it means you need to get the soldering iron out.
  11. You may say that post-cat O2 sensors shouldn't change, but I was at a CAT manufacturers today for work and they confirmed 100% that if you change a CAT, you SHOULD can't ALL of the O2 sensors in the exhaust.
  12. Again these are estimated max RRP prices. 2.0 GT >8/95 ADT37046 – Estimated price £130 8/95> 6/96 Not Available 6/96> ADT37018 – Estimated price £120 1.8 ST >6/96 Vin JT1...> ADT370119 – Estimated price £60 >8/95 Vin JT2...> Front Not Available >8/95 Vin JT2...> Rear ADT37064 – Estimated price £83 8/95> Vin JT2...> Rear ADT37029C – Estimated price £151 8/95> Vin JT2...> Front ADT37070 – Estimated price £87 6/96> Vin JT1> Not Available
  13. 140 Front - ADT37065 Rear - ADT37081 190 Front & Rear - ADT37081 These can be purchased from a motor factors or garage. Expect to pay around the £85 mark, although that is an calculated estimate of what they should reasonably charge.
  14. I'm responsible for O2 sensors at work (Blue Print) and the info I've listed was from market info & confirmed by one of our manufacturers. Basically as soon as you connect an O2 sensor to a car & start the engine, the O2 sensor starts to suffer from thermal aging. It's a slow process, but if your car has done 80k+ miles on the original O2 sensors, then you should be getting them both changed.
  15. Important information you should know about O2 sensors. Due to thermal aging and O2 sensor design and construction characteristics, their efficiency will deteriorate over time. O2 sensors should be check every 20,000 miles (Febi quote) O2 sensors should be replaced between 30,000 & 100,00 miles (Bosch quote) O2 sensors should be replaced if the CAT is replaced (Febi & Bosch quote) So in other words, you should see your O2 sensors as serviceable items around the 60-80k service period, as well as if you switch to a Sports Cat or Decat. This will ensure your car is efficient and well placed for emissions testing during MOT’s.
  16. That's shite luck. I hope you get it all sorted and don't cost too much.
  17. Happy Anniversary edwardio!

  18. That would require buying a PS3!
  19. What are the best tuning & track setups to use on Forza 4? If there's a car & setup that works awesome, then post it up for all to benefit! I'm still new to the game, so not picked up the 'best' setups yet but still adjusting!
  20. Sadly this is only really open to Gen 6 & Gen 7 owners due to the age of the cars. Are there any mechanical part that you are having trouble sourcing NEW leaving you only with OE as the source? As I work for Blue Print I can see if we can bring the items to range. I have already posted up in the past a complete listing (correct at the time) of all the parts we do. I cannot promise anything, but I can put it to the relevant product developer to consider. We DO NOt sell direct, so you if you want something you must get it from a garage or motor factor. I AM NOT SELLING ANY PARTS - so please do not ask, nor do I know the prices you would be charged (I can make an educated guess though). Please list below what you are looking for: Gen 6 e.g. O2 sensor Gen 7 e.g - Belt Tensioner
  21. Well as I've said before I can only use 99 ron fuel, so I'm stuck with V-Power or Tesco 99. As I have my Apexi controller on display I'm able to monitor parameters while driving. I have seen that I get lower knock figures & smoother revs and better performance from V-Power. Plus better mileage, as having my car means you watch your fuel to mileage alot!
  22. The issue is people feel that going greener byuying electric/hybrid/smaller engine cars will be cheaper to run. True at the moment, but there will be that tipping point when Mary who pays £35 road tax a year for her eco car, will see it jump to £100+ when the government realise that too many people have gone green. If people buy less petrol/diesel, the government will tax something else and that will be road tax or an ECO Tax! Crude oil is naturally made by the planet, but what the problem is that we are probably using more than the extimate time the planet takes to make it. However you are correct, that we don't know just how much oil is so far undiscovered. So the oil governing body who control the trade price of oil scare us byy sayign its running out & therefore puts up the price!
  23. I have just read that it appears that the government is looking to change standard unleaded. The plan is to double the bio content of the fuel if new EU laws arer made. This means any pre 93 or some modern cars would not be able to use it, alongside ay direct injection cars. Super Unleaded would remain the same though. Therefore its possible pretty much everyone would go to Super Unleaded as it would probably be the cheaper option if the plans go ahead.
  24. It completely depends on why you want to use it. Will it help clean your engine? Yes gradually. A clean engine is a healthy engine and therefore is able to use more of its performance. Will is give the car more power? Not really. It will free more power up as the engine cleans, please will be more resistant to knock allowing the engine to adjust its timing better. The most gains will be seen in a FI car, but then they ideally need to use it anyway because of this. Will it give better ecconomy? It depends on how you drive. I have tested V-Power against normal Shell and it does give better mpg as long as you drive the car the same. Again this is all linked the the engine being cleaned.
