  1. As I see it mate the rear arches are like an echo chamber behind the rear speaker pods so that's going to be one of the worst places, plus the long hollow doors. Trim rattles I'm going to get some felt washers for where panels overlap with screws and tighten the arse of them.
  2. Should of said! I've probably just rinsed £10 against a Focus ST up and down the bypass. I had to back off down the straights as I was up his arse. Then he turned into idiot mode so I backed off and let him cut 3 cars up on a roundabout. If weathers good next weekend Ill buzz ya.
  3. I thought about 8k was about the price for a decent Turbo one where an NA is like 4. Obviously that's a lot off difference, I can see you getting an NA and get fed up of it after a while. 0-60 is 6.5 secs which is probably not far off 190 times I bet? Ok to top speed of 150 will be better but when are going to use that speed? I know it's not all about power and speed because they are lovely looking cars but when your on par with a Honda Integra off the bypass I think you would be having second thoughts
  4. Just say it! (Even though he hasn't been in a gt4 yet it may change his mind). Also just a bit of info Cravo, I spoke to an ex owner of the car in hand and he said he said its a pain to drive as a daily and his skyline r33 gtt was a much easier car to cope with.
  5. Cheers princy, good read that! I'm thinking 25% covering around wheel arches, roof, under rear seats, doors and boot floor of whatever I decide to use. Like the guy says there is a lot of different noise types and aims. I will be happy with less road noise, better sounding sound system and get rid of rattles. My car at the moment is so noisy with trim at the moment at low rpm I cruise in 4th a lot to keep the revs up. Obviously not when the speed gets up 5th is ok. I have new doors to put on in 8 weeks and I have to Change the glass too so ill be able to get right in there. Also look for some good component speakers and mount the tweeters in the mirror triangles. I will eventually get around to a better head unit, small amp and maybe one of those micro subs that can fit under the front seats as I need my boot space. I don't need ultra deep bass as I listen to mainly to rock/metal so just a nice punch for the bass drum
  6. Right so I'm thinking of doing a bit when I stick a new carpet in and doors. What places to I need to put it apart from behind doors and rear quarters to help speaker quality? I'm after less road noise essentially. What thickness is best?
  7. This has to be the most unsafe I have felt in a car. Build quality was below awful.
  8. I'm guessing a 'rolla. Be warned if it is, apparently they handle like the Titanic as standard.
  9. I opened mine to see what was what.... The top pops off and there is a big flat bit to ignite which you do with the lid as it is rough. Was soooo tempted to just do it.
  10. Even worse for turboed cars as it can fudge up the very precise oil seals in the turbo. Which a rebuild is about £400. I think it would be better to just drop the oil that was up to temp and leave it to drain for as long as possible.
  11. Didn't manage to get it through the postbox....
  12. My local place is £15 for laser alignment for 2 wheels, plus a free check/re track 2 weeks after. Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2
  13. From the faff.... 2 jap coins, one with a hole in it One fishing float One fishing weight And a jap kinder egg ornament thing? Also there is a taxdisc/dial stuck in the window. No idea what it is!? Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2
  14. Theres a silver faff I see now and again, flash and wave.....nothing! Even parked next to it in Halfords weeks back and flyered it. Didnt bother by the looks. I dont bother waving to G7s as stated theres too many about that most probably dont even know what car they are driving! Waved at a G6 gt yesterday, nothing back either! Only one lately was a wickee looking Supra mk4 I had a blast with on the M1. Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2
  15. Beat me to it, thats more idiotic than the fat twat skidding, sorry drifting. Sent from my MB860 using Tapatalk 2
  16. Christ, gutted mate My 2p for what its worth..... Bodywork costs a small fortune to be done properly, get some quotes to see first. If it's within your budget then just get it repaired, as said earlier you could push most of it out (work from outside to centre). If it's too much to spend on the repair for what you paid for the car, cut your losses and see what the insurance will pay out for it as I very much doubt they would pay for a repair. Take your wheels off etc and find spend £50 on standard rims and interior.
  17. If you win you will have to drive like a saint until your off the radar! Fingers crossed for ya.
