wintersun
What led bulbs are people using in their gen 6 speedo? Or what led bulbs did spree led supply? I've got some good bright white LEDs and they just don't seem that good in my cluster?

The Spectre
Light dispersal on the St205 cluster is pretty crap, looking into doing mine with SMDs or COBs and modifying the light channels
wintersun
I got some White LEDs, it has 5 smds on it 1 on top and 4 around the sides. For some reason the temp and fuel needles arnt as bright as the Rev and speedo ones

c_jnz
I have Led's in mine but they are still pretty meh, with the addition of having a tendency to flicker as I cant get the connection to fit.My next thing was looking at getting plasma dials. davetrigz
I had a set of blue smd's in mine, they lasted about a week before they all started flickering badly so I've put white xenon bulbs in now and I can see the dials a lot better than with the blue bulbs. Monkey Boy 1
I tried the Blue LED's Couldn't really focus on the dials that well, White SMD LED's made the dash look pretty modern, but didn'y match the rest of the car, which was a shame because they were pretty good. I went for Ice blue COB LED's Gave a much better spread of light . Blue SMD LED's White SMD LED's . Ice Blue COB LED's The LED's used were the surface mount flat type, with all the diodes facing the same direction, not the ones with a diode facing in different directions I did put an order in with Spree last August, but then he stopped taking orders and buggered off doing something else and I lost my money. Then I found out that you could do the LED conversion for the dash for about £4.00, and that was for 10 bulbs.
