yellowchinaman
Ive been through 3 window motors from breakers. Ive decided to get new ones this time. Toyora no longer stocks them and TCB only sells the regulator with no motor. Any ideas where I can get jold of new ones? Maybe a compatible part? ams
post up a pic so can check if its similar to the gen7 one - do you have water getting into your doors as the window motors on the celica of all gens are pretty good?
Biggy
As above,i have not sold many...
ams
Did you swap the regulator and motor at the same time - maybe your reg is doing your motors in?
yellowchinaman
Im going to have to find some time to take it all apart to check. Yes the regulator was with the motor. I'm pretty sure theres something in the motor which is warn which is why the one touch doesn't go all the way up like it used to. I'll check the regulator at the same time too when its out. But the motor is also making some resistance noise too which is why I want to change it for a smoother new one.
BrianGT
When you take everything out make sure the regulator and window slides are all in good order as that will put a load on the motor if any of it is crooked or seized.
ams
if its just auto up thats not working then its not the motor - its not been fitted correctly, the door is bent or something else is restricting it going up Edited August 28, 2013 by ams
yellowchinaman
The window it self moves very smoothly without slowing down. I cleaned and angled the runners last time I rebuilt the doors and swapped out its internals. But I think were on the rite track as im sure somehow it detects resistance and stops. ams
put some light grease on the runners all the way up and down, and run the window up and down 10-20 times
