Cravo
I've thought about it long and hard. Discussed it with the mrs and a few other people in detail and I know the risks involved moving to the faff but I am sure I am doing the right thing fella. johnyboy1976
There are always risks involved in running cars - especially rally reps that are coming upto 20 years old and cost £30K when new. But if you buy a good one - and the one in question is one of the best and cleanest around - then a lot of that risk is removed. Yes they dont give great mpg , they can be expensive if they break - but a good one will last if correctly maintained and a ST205 imo is the pinnacle of celica evolution. You will love it Edited April 20, 2013 by johnyboy1976
vvtirob
Someone's going to buy this immediately! Hope it stays in the club though. It'll be long gone before I have the cash to buy it, else I would have in a heart beat.

tom-coupe
It might be slightly high mate. Best to regain it by stripping it
Cravo
Can't strip it mate everything is bonded on with tigerseal plus old spoilers gone now aswell
tom-coupe
All u got to do is ask mate. Mine is thunder grey and have a t sport spoiler on also missing a rear valance too
Cravo
Cheers for the offer fella but at the moment ill leave it as is Spoiler is tigersealed onto the boot lid would have to do a full boot swap and I ain't doing that again in a hurry fella. Was an all day ball ache of a job Plus I don't think I would get the value back cos a lot of the mods are better as a whole than separate. Breakdown would have to be like this. £200 skirts £150 valance and bumper £180 valance and bumper including tinted rear fogs £295 spoiler Rear lights £100 £500 alloys And then the car would be £2300 at the most with out those mods Then I would have to fork out whatever to replace the bumpers and rear lights. Would lose out breaking it dude
daytona
Different folks, different strokes. I have sat here shaking head at screen muttering "why, why why???? Why spend do much time and effort ......then flog it? noooooooo!" Before I started visiting this site a few months ago for advice on buying a yawningly boring standard car I would have said that Modders were a piston ring short of an engine but having seen the effort and care you guys put in I guess the burn is as much in the creating as the creation. Thinking about it I can relate to that from my early photography days printing moody black and white shots using stuff called "film", then processing it in my own dark room. The memories are as much of the smell of the chemicals and the buzz as the picture started to emerge in the tray, as they were of the finished result, and yeah I guess it was then straight on to the next one. So good luck Cravo. I look forward to watching your next project unfold. I shall content myself with the brake overhaul underway, the new tyres, the spacers due any week now(paid for),next months detailing session, the TTE springs(julyish) the decals I have designed for mook to do the filter upgrade (done) the Tech5s (for Xmas!) The short shift (proper TRD one) hang on a minute? This is contageous. This site should carry a health / wealth warning! Nurse!!!!! As for the price , it's just the way it is. Jo public is scared of modded cars due to not knowing the calibre of the guy that did it and the future insurance, resale issues. I'd swap wheels and money with you but already spent out on the car last month, brakes and spacers oil and filters this. I see you put club staff member in the ad and a link but i would go one step furtehr and say you are the modding moderator. You are a specialist. Don't be shy! Serratia
Hi matey, I think a lot of people on here have read your thread detailing the power you put out on the rolling road. Maybe a new rolling road session now you have replaced the plugs, air filter, cleaned MAF etc would help with the sale?
MYK
That's more than I paid for mine last year with full genuine kit on it.... Admittedly mine has a few miles on the clock but never been bothered about that tbh. Also the rolling road output may not help Sadly a lot of celicas are probably the same as yours but what you dont know doesnt hurt you kinda thing Hope you get what your after though but think it may be a bit to high.... Maybe a new rolling road session now you have replaced the plugs, air filter, cleaned MAF etc would help with the sale? This is a fair point mate. I might just go and get the lambda sensor changed and head back to John Sleaths, if I can ever get him to answer the bloody phone that is. Since I have replaced the sparks, cleaned the maf and changed the air filter it has felt a lot better than before and then when the zorst went on pulled like a train. Be nice to get it on paper though Dropped the price on here and ebay now under £4k, should get me a bit more interest hopefully That's more than I paid for mine last year with full genuine kit on it.... MYK
When I got the car it was on just under 90K on the clock. Gone up to about 103 since then though
